"Show yourself!" I yell.

I spin my heard around.

"Show yourself!" I yell.

"What is it?" He appears from behind me.

I jump back. I take out an arrow. I grip my bow. I point it at him.

"Who are you?!" I yell.

"Why ask?" He asks.

"What are you?" I hiss.

He takes a step. I draw back.

"Don't come any closer." I say.

"Why ask these questions?" He walks forward.

Have I been blind this whole time? We're at war. I can't let my focus quiver. Now I hear his voice was deep and sounding black. It comes out of his mouth like smoke. His words feel like smoke. I shoot an arrow. It goes right through him. He rolls his eyes. His eyes... they turn like fire. They reflect the color of something. Of something I know. My eyes widen.

"Sauron." I mutter.

"What?" He walks forward.

"Stay back." I shoot another arrow.

"I'm like a ghost you can't touch me." He says.

"You're.... you're... Sauron." I breathe.

He lets out a breath.

"If I told you my intentions are good, would you believe me?" He asks.

"No. Never." I say.

I feel angry. I feel sad. I feel... dark. I feel like the walls are crumbling. How have I been so blind? I've been so inane. I cannot believe I was fooled by him. Why did I not see behind his smoke screen? My senses were smoked.

"You fooled me." I say.

"My beauty tends to have that effect on people." He shrugs.

He looks at me. His form changes into armor and a fearsome helmet. I get blasted backward by a dark shadow. His height changes to taller and a circle of fire surround him. I stand up and take out another arrow.

"We will meet again." He shoots into the sky.
