I am at last the King of Gondor. I have fulfilled my long destiny. The evil has been banished. I reclaimed the throne, and I will unite all men. I will not rule the same way my ancestors did. I will create a peaceful world. I will welcome any to my kingdom.

Gandalf places the crown on my head. The tree has finally bloomed. The prophecy is fulfilled. I see the petals raining down. I turn to them all. They bow to me. I start singing the old words of the kings of our past.

I make my way down the stairs. Legolas bows his head in respect. I bow mine. I'm so relieved that he managed to fight of Sauron. He is a true hero. He's managed to do the impossible. He is a true friend.

Lord Elrond smiles at me. Yet... where is Awren? Then her face appears from behind the flag. My heart almost leaps out of my chest. She bows her head. I take the flag and I put it to the side. I lift her head up. She smiles at me. I can't wait anymore. She grips me tightly. At last, I feel at peace with the world. At last, I am home.
