Monday came so I am back being a teacher, even if it's a weekend I am still a teacher because of the overflowing workloads given to us and making lesson plans. It's quite funny how my life turns out to be. I hated being a teacher, I even defied my family because of it but here I am now on the riser watching my students answer the given practice problem.
"Okay, times up. Sarah please answer it in the board and discuss it to your classmate after writing your solution and answer." I instructed one of my student. She quietly went up and got the chalk out of my hand while I am standing in the corner of the riser so that they can fully see the board.
Sarah wrote her solution and I smiled proudly knowing that her steps are correct which led her to get the correct solution.
"Your answer is correct, discuss it to your classmates." I instructed and she nodded happily. She started discussing on how she got the correct answer. The equation was simple since it's only about a linear system equation. She used the substitution to get the correct solution. There are many ways to get the correct solution and one of which is substitution or elimination.
"Thank you." I said when she was done. She smiled at me and went back to her seat. I went in the center and looked at my students who are smiling at me. Indirectly telling me that they got the correct answer.
"Did you get the same answer as her?" I asked and they all nodded. I casually raised my hand to see what time it was since I have my wristwatch. We still have twenty minutes before our time ends.
"Since we have twenty minutes left and we are already done with our topic today, do you have any clarifications or questions?" I roam my eyes around to see if there is and one of my students shot her hand above so I gestured to let him stand up and he stood up.
"Miss, single ka po ba?" He asked sheepishly, I secretly rolled my eyes. Another personal question that I do not intend to answer.
"I----" Before I can answer someone knoncked on the open door and I was shock to see who it was. What is she doing here?
"Excuse me, class." I excused myself in the front and went in front of her in the door frame of our classroom. She is smiling widely at me with a bouquet in her hands.
"What are you doing here?" I asked sternly but she gave me the flowers as an answer. I looked at it boredly. Kaya napakamot siya sa ulo niya.
"Please accept my flowers." She said in a low tone but some students near us heard her. Kaya nagsimula na silang kumantsaw sa amin. Gosh, I can't believe that my students are teasing me with my ex.
"Do leave right now." Matigas kong sabi pero umiling lang ito sa akin at pilit na ibinibigay ang bulaklak kaya umatras naman ako para mapalayo sa kaniya.
"I am not accepting that, ano ba ang ginagawa mo rito?" Humalukipkip ako at tinignan siya nang masama pero ngumiti lang ito sa akin.
"I am here to court you." She said directly and I heard my students ayieee.
"Who told you, you can?" I asked raising my brow. But she gave me a short look before turning her gaze to my students.
"Is your teacher single?" She asked them instead of me so I facepalmed my face getting problematic about my situation. Good Lord.
"Maam, di po namin alam. Pero bagay kayo." Ani ni James, yung bakla sa class na ito kaya mas lalo akong napapailing.
"Bagay daw tayo."
"Bagay na bagay" Sabay na sigaw ng mga estudyante ko.
"I don't care." I said annoyingly.
"You should care."
