Chapter 3
It took around half an hour of me waiting before I heard three hard knocks at my door. I waited for a minute before going to answer it as I didn't want Harry to think I was eager for him to get here.
I walked up to my door to be welcomed by a tall brunette man with his back to me. "Hey, come in." I took a step back and Harry walked into my apartment. He had the same outfit on he did at school except this time he had a red and black flannel on over his T-shirt.
Harry took his bag off and planted it next to my bed. My apartment is all one room besides the kitchen and bathroom which are separate, the front door basically opens into my bedroom. "Do you need me to take my shoes off?" He asked my while sitting on the very edge of my bed.
"Not unless you want to." I shut the door and sat down at my dresser to face him. Harry shrugged and removed his brown Chelsea boots. "Have you seen what the assignment is?" I was hoping he'd say yes as I don't have many ideas for this. The theme is portrait so we had to take photos inspired by a photographer who does portraits. I'm more of a landscape photographer.
"Yeah portraits ain't it." Harry dug around into his bag and pulled out his camera.
"Yeah, I'm not very good at portraits so I was hoping that you would have a couple of ideas." I laughed nervously and fidgeted a bit praying to god that he would say yes. Honestly I am useless at this.
"I have a few, but I don't want to be in any of the photos." Harry said that quite harshly. It's fine that he doesn't want to be in any, I guess he just doesn't like having his picture taken. I really don't mind modelling for them but he'll have to talk me through it. Again I'm a landscapes type of gyal.
"Yeah that's fine, I'm just going to get a drink before we start, do you want anything." I got up from my chair and headed to the door that splits the kitchen from the bedroom. Harry shook his heads so I continued to make my way into the kitchen to get myself some water.
When I came back Harry had pulled out all of these bright lights and camera stands that I didn't notice he's bought in. He also hung up a white backdrop on one of my walls. But the main thing I could focus on was Harry himself. He had pulled his long curly hair into a bun at the back of his head, this made his jawbone look ever so strong. He also had removed his flannel and tied it around his waist.
He was kneeling on one knee setting up on of the cameras and I could see the band of his boxers just above his jeans. I let out a small cough to let him know I came back into the room. He quickly shot up and turned around to face me. He had his camera hanging around his neck and while looking at it I noticed he had a dog tag necklace also around his neck.
"That's cute, who got you that necklace?" I broke the silence while setting my glass of water on the side and taking out my hair.
"Mind your fucking business." Harry turned back around the fix up some of the lighting. He huffed and puffed while sorting the lighting showing me he was stressed.
"Urm alright, you don't have to be so rude." I felt so awkward. I didn't do anything wrong so why the hell is he speaking to me like that.
"Sit." Harry placed the chair from my dressing table in front of the white backdrop he hung up. I walked over to the chair rolling my eyes as I sat down. Harry huffed again and rose the camera up to his face. "Alright let's just get this over with, start posing."
His bluntness is pissing me off. If he's going to be like this every time we have to work together I'm going to beg and beg to switch partners.
I start moving around in my chair, doing small poses. Again I'm not good at this, I have no idea what I'm doing and I can tell my awkwardness is annoying Harry. He's barely taking any photos and his foot is tapping which is making me nervous.
"I'm no good at this alright." I slump down into the char and roll my eyes. Harry drops the camera so it hangs around his neck again, his lips are flat in a line and his eyes show no emotion. "Can you say something?"
"Oh my fuck." Harry wiped his hand over his mouth and turned around to grab his computer. He was frowning at the screen while typing, I saw a crease form between his brown which made him look so intimidating. He eventually stopped typing and scrolling, he turned the laptop around and held it out to me. "Pose like this, seriously it's fucking easy."
I took his laptop and started scrolling through all the photos on this folder. It was filled with a lot of beautiful girls posing and smiling. I feel like I'm scrolling for ever, pictures upon pictures are in this folder. As I get closer to the bottom I notice only one girl having her photo taken. She had brown long hair with matching brown eyes and her smile was contagious. She was stunning.
"Harry did you take these?" I look up from the laptop too see Harry now sat on the end of my bed flicking through his camera. He looked at me and nodded but then instantly looked back down to his camera. Almost like he was embarrassed. "They are amazing, and who's this I see you liked to take her photo? She's beautiful." I flipped the laptop around and pointed to the brunette girl on the screen.
Harry immediately jumped up and ripped the laptop from my arms. "For fuck sake briony, you really can't mind your own business." He slammed the laptop close and threw it on my bed. "I gave it to you too look at the photos already on the screen, not to fucking scroll through."
"I'm sorry, I just-" I cut myself off. I didn't mean to invade his privacy, it's just the photos were great and I just wanted to see more. "I'm sorry Harry." This created a huge awkward silence between us and I couldn't help but stare at him. He looked so annoyed at me.
"Look let's just get this over and done with so I can fucking leave." He bought the camera back to his face. "Start posing again."
I did as he said and started moving around again shooting different poses. The click of the camera rang through my ears but it quickly stopped when Harry's phone rang. He stood back up straight and pulled his phone from his back pocket.
"Hello"
He was only on the phone for less than 20 seconds before he quickly ended the phone and ran around my room picking up his things. He looked stressed. That crease between his brows got deeper and his frown was more noticeable than ever.
"Harry is everything okay?" I got up from the chair and walked towards him packing away. He was moving so fast, his actions show he was panicking. I helped fold away one of his lighting stands and when I gave it to him he snatched it out of my hands. One of the screws pulled at my skin making it bleed a little bit. "Earth to Harry?"
He ignored me again packing up his stuff. He ran to my apartment door swung it open and left. He didn't even bother to shut it. I ran over to the open door and shouted down the hall where he was quickly walking down. "Harry what happened!"
He stopped his walking and turned back around. "It's doesn't fucking matter okay, I'm leaving I have to go. But don't you dare tell anyone I left like this." He sounded furious. I didn't say anything in return besides nodding my head. And with that he turned back around and left in a rage.
What the hell just happened.
