All my clothes are sprawled across the room, lying on my bed and Jisoo's, and thrown in the drawers.

I press a hand to my forehead as I sigh. It used to be so easy to pick what I wore when I was planning on stealing, but I only had three options back then.

I thought I owned more black clothes an hour ago, but apparently, I own very few, and the ones I have aren't great options.

I need something that fits my body perfectly and is easy to move in. Something that helps me blend into the background and go unnoticed.

Picking up a pair of black leggings, I place them on the top of the dresser. Ideally, I'd be working in something warmer, considering the cold night, but it was the best I had. The shirt was the real problem.

Of the three black shirts I have, one is cropped, one is a sweater, and the other has a graphic design on the front. The sweater would work best, but maybe not good enough, and I need this to go perfectly if I want to impress Jennie.

"Maybe Jisoo has something," I whisper, tentatively pulling one of her drawers open. Usually, I don't think she would mind, but after this morning, I'm wary.

Although, it's not very helpful. Jisoo was a colorful person, and she liked to reflect that in her outfits.

Finding nothing, I slam the door shut and throw myself on the bed, staring at the ceiling overhead.

It's too late to go back now, and I'll have to leave in under two hours. Yet I'm stuck on a shirt. Hopefully, my old sneakers will still fit and be comfortable to run in. I suspect I'll have to do a lot of running tonight.

A knock sounds at my door, and I sit up from my bed, hurrying over. Maybe it's S.Coups telling me that Jennie called the whole thing off.

Swinging open the door, I find Mingyu standing in front of me, a few steps back from the door.

He doesn't make eye contact as I open the door, and his hands awkwardly dangle at his side.

Did he figure out I'm going tonight?

"Hi," I say slowly, curious about what he's doing.

"Hey, I just wanted to say I'm sorry."

"Oh!" I make a noise of surprise. I've seen Mingyu speak out against S.Coups and the other members plenty of times, and he never appeared to be apologetic about it.

"I know you and Jisoo are capable, especially you. But that doesn't stop me from worrying about you, Y/N." He brings his eyes to meet mine while saying my name

I can't stop the heat rushing to my cheeks. "You sound like Jisoo," I light laugh.

Mingyu smiles softly. "Is there any way I can make it up to you?"

"Oh, you don't have to do that," I sparaticly wave my hands, somehow embarrassed by his offer.

"I want to." His smile grows, and he steps forward, placing a hand above me on the doorframe.

It's obvious that Mingyu is a tall guy, but it's extra evident now that he's leaning over me like a tower. Strangely, I find myself nervously enjoying it.

"I enjoyed getting close to you before that night at the party, and I don't want to stop over a silly fight."

My head tilts back to meet his eyes again. It's obviously the wrong moment to think so, but wow. Mingyu is gorgeous. His hair is falling over his face, and the play of a smile on his lips is lovely.

"Well, I can't say I disagree," I breathe.

"Let me surprise you with something then," I swear as he says it, he leans closer.
