Minghao's saying something, but I'm not listening. My forehead rests against the glass, staring at the moving landscape, although I don't see it. All I can think about is Bambam and what he wanted to tell me.

It could be a trick. A way to get under my skin, or just a ploy to get close and somehow use that against Mingyu, or get revenge for the dead bodyguard, if they even cared about losing one of the many they had.

A fliting touch on my shoulder makes me jump.

"Y/N," Jisoo says softly.

"Huh?" She points at Minghao, looking back at me through the rearview mirror. "What?"

"What did Bambam want with you guys?"

"How am I supposed to know?" I resume looking out the window. Even though he helped me and Jisoo, I don't want to see or talk to him.

I hear his light sigh, but Minghao doesn't say anything else.

I wonder if he ever killed. How many of them had? And why does it bother me this much?

Not every person in Seventeen is the kindest person, but they've all shown compassion to me and Jisoo by letting us stay here. The sole time I've felt threatened was the night with Minghao.

The car slows down as we enter the neighborhood.

"S.Coups will want you guys to talk to him about what happened."

I faintly hear Jisoo say, "Okay."

"Got7 has it coming for them."

Jisoo rests her hand on my shoulder, lightly squeezing it. I don't react.

Seventeen's mansion of a house appears, and Minghao turns into the rounded driveway. He doesn't bother with the garage; instead, he parks the car in front of the door.

Minghao steps out first, then Jisoo, and then I pull myself from the seat and onto the cobblestone.

"You seem dazed," Jisoo whispers in my ear, suddenly beside me.

I shrug. "A lot's happened recently."

She nods, and we walk inside behind Minghao.

The house is void of noise, but it makes sense. Noon was the quietest time for the home. Half the members are out working or practicing, and the other half are still sleeping from a late night.

"I'll go get S.Coups. Wait in the living room or something," Minghao says at the intersection, pointing his head forward.

"Are you hungry?" I ask

"Not really."

I walk into the living room, collapsing on the closet couch. "How did we even get tangled in all of this?"

"I have no idea," Jisoo chuckles. You say one wrong thing walking home, then boom." She snaps her fingers, lying back beside me. You're living with a group of strangers, and you can't trust your best friend anymore. And you still have to worry about getting your degree."

I laugh lightly. "Thank goodness I didn't go to college."

Jisoo raises an eye. "You couldn't even if you wanted to."

Pulling the pillow behind my head, I throw it at Jisoo. "Whatever."

"Do you think we'll ever go back to normal?"

I hum, then shake my head. "Nah. Crime seems to follow me everywhere."

"You should work on that," Jisoo sighs. "I don't want to be videographer for street racers."
