"y/n there's someone at the door can you please get it? I'm a little busy!" my mum yelled up to my room when the doorbell rang. I groaned as I reluctantly forced myself up from my bed-rotting and made my way downstairs.

I opened the door and saw a new face. Presumably the neighbours that just moved in next door.
"Hi!" I greeted the tall, cute boy in front of me.
"Hey." he said back in a motonous voice. Not what I was expecting. "I just moved in and I wanted to introduce myself. Well my mum wanted me to so here I am. I'm Park Seeun and I'm 20. Nice to meet you." he held out a hand which I shook as I listened to him.

'Seeun'. Sounds nice.

"I'm Song y/n, I'm also 20. Nice to meet you too." I shook his hand with a faint smile.
"Are you a uni student?" Seeun asked me, raising an eyebrow subtly.
"No, I'm a music production apprentice at Overtune Institute. You?"
"Ah. I study biology at SNU." he said, emotionlessly.
"Oh, cool."
"I guess... I'll see you round then." he said, not showing one bit of emotion so I couldn't even tell what his first impressions of me were.
"Yeah, see ya." is said back with a faint smile and shut the door as he left.

Dang, he's cold as ice.

"Who the hell was that?" my older brother, Mingi, questioned while messily eating an uncut kimbap roll. He was just one of my older brothers, I have the joy of having another one - the oldest who lives in Itaewon with his fiancée.

"The son of the people who moved in next door." I replied.
"Oh. Is he nice?" Mingi asked, leaning against the back of our sofa.
"Hard to say. He's just kinda cold." I said.
"Oh. Well, we'll see how he is as we see him more often I guess." my brother said. Then I went to the kitchen to see if my mum needed help with the Swiss roll she was making.

I helped her a bit and then went up to my room and took a shower. I came out and saw a missed call from my best friend so I called her back immediately.
"Hey girl!!" she said excitedly.
"Hey! You sound excited. What's up?" I asked her, trying to match her energy.
"Yeah, I got big news!"
"Oh my god, tell me, tell me!!" I encourage.
"You're not gonna be ready...." she build suspense and I couldn't bare to wait any longer... "I found my soulmate!!" she said, exhilarated.

"No way!!! Rhia, that's amazing, I'm so happy for you!!!! You have to tell me everything, how you found out, who he is, what he's like, all the jazz." I said, smiling from ear to ear.
"Yeah I will but that's a conversation for another day. Let's go out this weekend and I'll tell you everything!" she said.
"Okay, I'll be waiting. See you then girlyy" I said.
"See you babe!" she said and then hung up.

I sighed contently, super happy for Rhia. She deserves the world and no less than a man who treats her like a queen; I'm so happy for her.

It just made me wonder when it'll be my turn to find out who my soulmate is.

I checked in the mirror and my eyes were green which means they're feeling neutral. Good to know, I suppose. I smiled faintly in the mirror and then walked back to my bed.

The following day, I heard a knock at my door in the early afternoon. My brother and I happened to be the only ones home but he was on a work call so I had no choice but to get the door. When I opened it I was surprised to see Seeun standing there with his same unreadable expression.
"Oh hey" I said, smiling.
"Hey. Hope I'm not disturbing you." he said.
"No, no, not at all." though I was in the middle of making a track for an artist's VCR, but it's fine. It can wait.
"I know this is really last minute but I was bored out of my mind and was wondering if you maybe wanted to hang out? Get to know each other if we're gonna be neighbours, all that stuff." he suggested. I was shocked to say the least. But I guess it couldn't hurt.
"Of course. Uh.. now?" I asked. It may have come across a little unwilling but I promise it was a genuine question. He, however, sounded like his mum forced him over here to get to know me. But we shall see how this goes.
"Yeah." he replied.
"Sure. Let me get my shoes. Wait here."
