(Tw sick)

Emily's POV:

It was really hard to fall asleep, the pounding in my head preventing it. I think I had been staring at the ceiling for an hour when Lucy came up to tell me dinner was ready.
"I don't think i can eat anything, I feel really nauseous" I said looking towards her as she made her way from the doorway to sit on the empty side of my bed.
"I'm sorry sweetheart, concussions are shit" she said sighing and tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear.
"Yeah" I said mirroring the frustrated sigh she had just released. All I wanted to do was sleep to just forget about everything for a while but of course I couldn't.

Lucy went downstairs and after a few minutes she reappeared holding and ice pack and a big glass of water.
"These might help" she said placing the glass down on my bedside table and the ice pack on my forehead. It did help relieve some of the pain in my head.
"Thanks Luce" I said mustering a weak smile. She kissed my temple before leaving the room after telling me to try and get some rest.

I drifted off eventually but it didn't last long as I woke up and immediately ran to the toilet and threw up. The pounding returned even stronger than before and I just sat on the tiled bathroom floor and cried, everything just being too overwhelming for me to handle right now. It must've been around 2am given all the lights were turned off and how dark it was outside. The room was spinning and I felt horrible. My movement must've woke Lucy up as she quickly left her room and came and sat next to me on the floor. I got sick a few more times, Lucy holding my hair back and rubbing soothing circles on my back. After a while there wasn't anything left in me as I hadn't eaten since breakfast.

I lent on the bath, letting my head fall onto the side.
"I'm sorry for waking you" I mumbled to Lucy keeping my eyes closed, trying to keep as much of the blinding bathroom light out as possible.
"Hey don't be silly. Do you feel any better?" She asked sitting on the closed toilet seat, looking at me.
"Yeah a little" I said slowly standing to brush my teeth to get the gross taste out of my mouth.

Once Lucy walked me back to my bed and pulled the cover up over me she asked if I was going to be okay
"I'll be fine Luce, go back to bed" I told her. she looked unsure but eventually left after a lot of reassurance. I felt less nauseous now and it didn't take long for me to fall asleep, the exhaustion from today hitting me.
