Emily's POV:Lucy asked if i wanted her to come with me but i tell her I would be okay.
After saying bye to Lucy and Keira, i head to the med room. I'm greeted by the friendly face of Tom and he tells me to take a seat. He does some tests, checking if everything looks good and it does which I'm relived to hear. Once I'm free to go I head to the changing room after thanking Tom.
When I walk in I'm quickly greeted by the girls and they all give me a massive hug and tell me how much they've missed me which brings a smile to my face and calms the nerves I was feeling before coming in here. I had texted into the group chat we all have that I was sick over the last few days.
I'm sat on the bench doing up the laces of my cleats when Ava, my closet friend comes and sits next to me. I look up from my feet, giving her a smile.
"How are you?" She asks in a caring tone.
Ava's kind of picked up on the fact I don't really have a great home life but knows from experience I don't like taking about it but she always checks in which I find very kind."Yeah, it's getting better. Thanks" I say sending her another sincere smile.
I know it doesn't feel like it now but I know my life will start getting better. As long as I have Lucy, I know it will get better.

Training goes well, but I can't help feeling like I've fallen behind. I know that sounds stupid as I've only missed a few days but today I could tell 100% of my focus wasn't on football and it usually is. I need to change that, I need to train more and work harder in the gym to get back to how I was before everything in my life started to spiral out of control.
My main priority is football.
