Lucy's POV:When Emily came downstairs I could tell something was up with her. I presumed it was the multiple missed calls from her dad that had probably increased since last night. I didn't want her to feel like she had to deal with this alone. I had no idea why he was calling her but I could only Imagine how scared she must feel knowing he was trying to contact her after what he has put her through.
When Emily went into the kitchen to made some breakfast, I looked at Keira, worry clear on my face. She knew what I was asking silently and told me she was going to head home. As much as I wanted her to stay, I knew I wouldn't be able to get Emily to open up fully if it wasn't just the two of us.
Keira went upstairs to grab her bag and when she came back down she went and said bye to Emily who was sat at the kitchen table eating some toast. Before she got to the front door I gave her a kiss and thanked her for being so understanding.
Once Keira left, I headed into the kitchen. I was met with Emily staring into the garden, clearly lost in thought. I stood behind her, giving her shoulders a squeeze to get her attention.
"Why don't we bring narla for a walk and we can talk" I told her softly, not wanting to scare her off
"Yeah okay" she sighed before putting her dishes into the sink and going to put her shoes on. I followed her to the door, grabbing narla's lead and calling her over to clip it to her collar. We headed out the door, we didn't really speak for the first few minutes. I was trying to find the right words to bring up what had been going on. But it was proving difficult.
