Chapter 3

"I'll share my Tonkotsu with you, Minji-ah. Please stop pouting" Hyewon says to Minji. Minji looked at Hyewon with bright eyes and hugged the girl.

"Yeah stop pouting, you're making me lose my appetite" Haerin yells from her table. Haerin's friends all laugh at her joke. Ni-ki puts his arm around Haerin's chair and leans close to her. He whispers something in her ear and Haerin, still looking at Minji, starts agreeing with Ni-Ki and starts laughing at Minji and Hyewon's direction. Minji abruptly stands up, and she is pissed. Today was supposed to be a great day. It was Friday, it was Tonkotsu day and now she's getting made fun of by underclassmen. Kang Haerin has ticked her off and she has had it. Hyewon holds her down and tells her to calm down. The staff and the rest of the students are looking at them right now. Before Minji could even process what was going on, Jennie was in front of her. Jennie puts her hands on Minji's shoulder and smiles at her.

"Hi Minji!" Jennie says as she gives her the prettiest smile Minji has ever seen. Her voice sounds so sweet, it almost brings Minji to her knees.

"H-hi Unnie" Minji says as tears her sight away from the annoying Kang and to the gorgeous Kang instead.

"Sorry to bother you but I see that you have a salad instead of a tonkotsu, I was wondering if we could switch? They were out of salads when it was my turn and I really wanted a salad." Jennie says to Minji with a pout. If looks could kill, Kim Minji would be dead already.

"Tae also told me that Tonkotsu is your favorite and he was wondering why you had a salad instead. We figured they must've ran out when it was your turn since he told me that you hate veggies. So what do you say? Wanna switch lunch with me?" Jennie says and smiles as she motions for Taehyung to come closer to the group. Taehyung makes his way to the table, stops beside Jennie and gives the group a nod. He stays for seconds, looking at Minji and at Jennie and finally looks at Haerin across from Minji's table. Haerin looks away and continues her conversation with her friends. Hyein and Taehyung make eye contact and Taehyung gives her a smile before giving his attention to Minji's table.

"Hi oppa!" Hyewon says with a mouthful of food. She looks like a bunny. Taehyung smiles gently at Hyewon and looks at Minji.

"Are you gonna switch or not? I wanna eat my food before lunch is over" Taehyung says cooly at Minji before walking away to his table.

"U-uh y-yes. We can trade lunches, Unnie" Minji stutters. She can't even look at Jennie. The older Kang gives Minji a hug and a kiss on the cheeks as a thank you. Jennie grabs the salad and bids the group bye. Jennie looks up and see's Haerin looking at the scene that just happened. She blows Haerin a kiss and pats Hyewon on the head before making her way to where Taehyung and their friends are sitting. Haerin scoffs at the oldest Kang and focuses her attention back to her lunch and friends.

"U-uh y-yes. We can tr-aa-de lun-chh-es U-u-unie" Hyewon and Chan said simultaneously at Minji. Minji finally sits down and buries her head on the table. The Duo was definitely not gonna let her live that down. Lunch became uneventful after that. Aside from the constant joking from Hyewon and Chan about her fat crush on Jennie. Chan wishing he had the salad instead and maybe he could've gotten that hug and kiss from Jennie instead of Minji. Uneventful but still chaotic nonetheless. Maybe today isn't so bad after all.

Minji was all smiles after lunch. She got her tonkotsu, a kiss on the cheek and a hug from her crush. Yeah, today was definitely a good day. There were hurdles this morning but nothing she can't handle. Not even a hurdle named Kang Haerin can ruin it. Or so she thought.

The last bell finally rang. Minji excitedly gets out of her seat. She's excited. Friday. Minji's favorite day of the week. It meant that she could stay up Friday night gaming and sleep in the next day. No after school activities. Just her and her video games after school. Hyewon waits for Minji to get her stuff ready. Chan, Felix and Chaewon make their way to the girls and start talking about their plans for this weekend.
