"On a scale of 1-10, is it a dick move for someone to end a relationship a few days before the holidays?" Minji asks her friends, her brows scrunched up, she's in deep thoughts. She's made up her mind.
"I mean, it's not an ideal time but at the same time, you can't keep stringing someone along if the feelings aren't there anymore. It's not fair to them or you." Hanni tells Minji. She feels bad for Sunghoon since she knows that he really likes her friend but it wouldn't be fair to both of them to continue their relationship when Minji's heart and mind is on somebody else.
"Yeah, I agree with Hanni. I mean, personally I wouldn't do it because I'm not an asshole but–" Yunjin starts to say but was cut off by Hanni's glare. She cowers back to her seat and phone.
"You wouldn't do it during the holidays but you'd do it on someone's birthday?" Hanni tells her friend. Yunjin sinks deeper into her chair, she huffs and looks at Hanni.
"Ugh. stop reminding me, I didn't know it was her birthday and I already paid a price for that." Yunjin grabs a handful of her hair and stares into space. She remembers that day, she could still feel her left cheek sting from the memory.
Minji groans as she watches her friends. This situation isn't helping at all. Hanni and Yunjin both look at her and give a sympathetic smile.
"It'll be alright, Min. I'm sure Sunghoon will understand." Hanni tells Minji, she rubs her back to comfort her.
"Yeah, I'm sure he's more understanding than the girls' I've dated," Yunjin says to Minji. She smiles at her friends and thanks them. As she was about to ask for more advice, their teacher walked in. Their conversation is going to have to wait later.
Minji couldn't keep her focus in class at all. Her head was full of thoughts of her parents that are arriving today, how she was going to break up with Sunghoon and Haerin. She wonders what Haerin has been doing since she's been gone. She doesn't really ask Hyein, the most she's seen or talked to her is when Haerin happens to be in the same room as her sister when she calls.
The bell rings but Minji says in her seat. Hanni nudges her but she seems to be in deep thoughts again, Yunjin walks over to their desk.
"Min, does your stomach hurt or are you just thinking?" Yunjin says to Minji, this got her friend's attention and she earns a glare from her."Thinking. Got it." Yunjin puts her hands up in the air as a defense.
"Whatcha thinking about, Love?" Hanni asks Minji as she walks over to her side.
"Alot. mostly about my parents and Sunghoon" Minji tells her friends, she doesn't let them know that she's also been thinking of Haerin. She feels guilty for thinking about Haerin when she's still with Sunghoon, she has to end it today.
"Speaking of Sunghoon....he's outside the class waiting for you" Yunjin says to Minji, she starts to walk away from their desk and into the hallway, Hanni and Minji sees that Sunoo had put Yunjin into a headlock as soon as she stepped into the hallway, they hear a few students laugh at them.
"You ready?" Hanni asks Minji. She could see that her friend is nervous but she nods her head and they start to make their way to the door where they see Sunoo and Yunjin are already bickering at each other, Sunghoon was leaning on the wall and watching the two.
"I told you, it wasn't me that put those in your locker.'' They hear Yunjin tell Sunoo, her head still locked under Sunoo's arms, her hands are flailing as she tries to get out of his grip.
"Oh so was it a coincidence that there were plastic roaches all over my locker after I told you how much I hated them the other day?" Sunoo asks her; he doesn't believe her since he told her how much he hated the bugs when they were on the phone the other day. Yunjin heard him scream on the phone when he saw one crawling on the street and made fun of how he screamed.
