Chapter 54

"Haerin, please calm down" Dani says reassuringly as she watches Haerin frantically go through her walk-in closet, she watches as clothes fly around all over the room. Some landed on the girl's bed, a few on the floor and Danielle swore she got hit by at least two or three dresses on her face.

"Calm down??? Danielle! I've never been on a date before!!! What do I wear?!" Haerin whines at her friend, Danielle looks at her stoically and takes a deep sigh.

"I'm sure you can wear a garbage bag as a dress and Minji would think you look like the most gorgeous girl she has ever seen" Danielle deadpans and makes her way over to Haerin's bed, she pulls out her phone and begins scrolling through her messages.

Hanni <3 : i don't understand why you're not here by my side right now 😔

Dani: because Haerin is freaking out right now, we have to be supportive friends for them baby 💞

Hanni <3 : true true, Minji has at least put on four outfits already. Her and Yunjin are bickering right now as we speak lol

Dani: at least she's put on some outfits, Haerin is still throwing clothes around. It's like a tornado flew around in her room.

Hanni <3: excuse the mess I made

Dani: it usually doesn't rain in Southern California

Hanni <3: much like Arizonaaaa 🎶

Danielle giggles as she reads the texts from Hanni, she could picture her singing the song right now. Her imagination is cut short when a dress lands on her face, she shakes it off and looks at Haerin's direction. She watches as the girl continues to rummage through the pile of clothes on the floor.

Chaewon burst through the door, her eyes wide open as she looks at Haerin's messy bedroom. She shakes her head and stops the anxious girl from pulling more clothes out of her closet.

"UNNIE!! You're here!! Please help me, Danielle has been no help!!" Haerin rushes to Chaewon and engulfs her into an embrace, Chaewon lightly laughs and pats her cousin's head.

"You and Minji are literally perfect for each other, though your bedroom looks more messy than hers does" Chaewon says as she scans Haerin's room, her nose scrunches up as she bends down and picks up some dresses off the floor.

"...is Minji unnie also a nervous wreck as I am?.." Haerin shyly asks

"Worse if you ask me" Chaewon says with a chuckle, Haerin calms down as she hears Chaewon say that.

"I've never been on a date before and she has. What if I'm not up to par with her previous dates? What if she never wants to go on another date with me again?" Haerin pouts and looks at her friends.

"Well, it's a good thing you guys are already engaged so she has no choice but to go on dates with you" Danielle says and Haerin glares at her, she grabs a nearby pillow and chucks it at the Aussie girl, it hits her square in the face.

"Haerin, I was just kidding." Danielle says as she puts the pillow beside her, she walks over to Haerin and puts her arms around her shoulders.

"..not funny. I'm really nervous." Haerin says quietly, her body slightly shaking with anxiety. Danielle looks at her friend with a soft expression.

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize how serious you were. Look, the date doesn't have to be perfect. As long as you and Minji unnie are having fun with each other then that's all that matters." Danielle says, her arms still wrapped around Haerin's shoulder.

"It's our first time hanging out with each other without you guys, what if she realizes I'm not as interesting without you guys and then...and...then..she breaks up our engagement?" Haerin frantically stands up and away from Danielle's hold, she paces back and forth in her room and starts to mumble different scenarios that's going through her head.
