Chapter 44

"Thank you for the tickets, Yeji" Yunjin and Hanni both tell the girl in front of them, Yeji gives them a smile and nods her head towards them.

"By the way, this is Yunjin and Hanni" Minji points to the girls, she forgot to formally introduce them to each other. Yeji laughs and greets the other two warmly.

"It's nice to meet you guys, i've heard good things about you from Minji" Yeji tells the girls, Yunjin and Hanni look at her nervously but gives her a polite smile. They don't want to tell Yeji that this is actually the first time they've heard of her, that'd be awkward.

Yeji, sensing that the other two girls were acting awkwardly, taps Minji on the shoulders and whispers something in her ears. Minji looks at her friends, nods and laughs. Yeji lightly hits Minji's arms playfully.

"It's okay if you didn't know about me, Minji likes to treat me like one of her sneaky links" Yeji playfully tells the girls, she hears the two girls sigh in relief and she can't help but laugh.

"I was getting nervous there for a second," Yunjin honestly admits.

"So how many sneaky links does Minji have?" Hanni jokes, Minji gives her a glare and Yeji laughs.

"A lot actually, Minji here is pretty popular" Yeji continues to tease as she picks out a strand of hair stuck to her friend's face, Minji rolls her eyes at her and tries to tell them that she has no idea what they're talking about.

"Oh trust me, we know" Yunjin joins in and wiggles her brows to Yeji. Hanni and Yeji continue to laugh as Minji tries to hide her face from them.

"Ryu and Chaeryoung meeting us there or not? Minji says as she finally composes herself. Yeji shakes her head no and explains to them that the two have neglected their school work and is now trying to finish it up before summer begins.

"Mhm. reminds me of someone I know" Hanni says as she eyes Yunjin, Yeji laughs and tells Hanni that she's heard all about it from Minji and tells the girl how Minji used to do the same thing when they were in class and how Yeji would have to make Minji do her work instead of secretly sketching in class. The ride to the venue was full of conversation as the girls got to know more about each other and shared embarrassing stories of Minji to each other; before they knew it, they had already arrived at the venue.

Yeji navigated them through the venue with ease and they all greeted her parents as they reached their designated spot.

"Minji, it's so good to see you again" Yeji's mom tells the girl as she goes in for a hug, Minji hugs the woman and smiles.

Yunjin excuses herself and tells them that she's going to try and find her cousin before the show starts, Hanni and Yeji's father offers her some help so she doesn't get lost and they go on their way.

Minji was left with Yeji and her mother and they catch up with each other until Yeji stands up and asks Minji to help her get some snacks before the show starts, Minji follows Yeji and is surprised when Yeji leads her somewhere else.

"This isn't the snack section" Minji jokes with her, Yeji throws her head back and laughs. She makes her way towards Minji and gives the girl a tight hug, Minji reciprocates the hug and looks at her friend weirdly.

"Everything okay?" Minji asks as they continue to hold onto each other. Yeji nods and finally lets go, she looks at Minji and smiles at her.

"Yeah, I just missed you. So what did you want to talk about earlier?" Yeji asks as she leans back on the wall behind her. When Minji texted her while they were still at school, she said she had something important to tell her and that she will tell her tonight. Minji isn't the type to tell her that unless it was very important and it had her worried all day.
