Chapter 48

They don't know how they got to this point. Chan, Felix and Hyein look at Minji, Yunjin and Hanni. The six of them looked at each other back and forth.

"Uhhh. Why are you guys here?" Minji cautiously asked the three. Chan and Felix scratch their necks and try to look elsewhere and Hyein is sporting a sheepish smile.

"Uhh. we kinda got kicked out cause we said that the outside looked more fun than the inside" Hyein awkwardly explains to her sister.

"I mean, you're not wrong," Yunjin says as she brings the newcomers into a group hug.

"Welcome to the club" Hanni says with a laugh.

"They also said that you guys needed more brain cells to help you out and they figured the three of us combined were equal to one functioning brain cell" Chan proudly says, Hanni and Felix look at the boy and shake their heads.

"I don't think that was a compliment, mate" Felix says as he puts his hands on Chan's broad shoulders.

"I mean, it could be for Chan since they implied he at least has some brain cell" Yunjin quips and the rest of the group laugh as Chan acts devastated.

"So how long are we kicked out for?" Minji says as she looks over to the window, she could see Haerin's back is turned away from the window and it looks like the rest of the girls are interrogating Dani. Hyein shrugs.

"You guys wanna play soccer while we wait? There's still light out" Minji suggested to the group. They all excitedly agree and decide on who's team they're going to be on.

First team:

"I feel like the team is unbalanced," Hyein says, looking at Hanni who's busy tying her hair up. She knows that Hanni wasn't in the soccer team with Yunjin and Minji. Felix, Chan and her were all in the soccer team at their school. Felix is one of their star players and she feels that Hanni should be in Yunjin's team to balance it out, skill wise.

"Don't be fooled, little one. Hanni is actually really good at soccer. She just decided to do cheerleading for high school because she thought the uniforms were cuter" Yunjin says as she puts her hands on Hyein's shoulders to reassure the girl that the team was fairly balanced.

"And they are" Hanni and Minji both shout in unison to defend the cute cheerleading outfit that Hanni wears.

The group starts setting up the goals on the massive front lawn at the house, the girls inside stop their interrogation and watch them set up. They see Minji and Hanni juggling a soccer ball with their knees, Yunjin balancing a soccer ball on her head and Hyein swatting it away from her. Yunjin chasing after the girl with the ball, Chan and Felix hot on their trails. Minji and Hanni both look at the four and decide to run after them too. They watch as the group fight over the soccer ball and sees Hanni swiftly steals the ball from Felix and kicks it to the farthest net they had set up, it lands and Minji and Chan cheer and lift up Hanni.

"What are they doing? Hyewon says as she continues to watch. They've finished setting up and are getting ready to play when Yunjin stops and huddles the group together. They could hear them bickering at each other but it slowly died down. It seems like they've all reached an agreement on whatever it is they were arguing about.

The girls inside the house have completely forgotten about their interrogation on Danielle and have seated themselves in front of the window. The group outside is completely oblivious of their audience. They see Taecyeon carrying a cooler with water and he sets up a chair beside it. He sits down and blows a whistle. The girls inside look at each other and smile at how their friends outside seem to be taking their soccer game seriously.
