It's been a few months now that Minji has moved in with her Uncle. Her, Yunjin and Hanni have become inseparable since meeting and she's thankful that she has them by her. Hyein and Taehyung call her every week to see how she's been and just to talk to them, she's been missing her siblings like crazy. Hyein has been updating her non-stop about what's going on at school. She tells Minji that after she left, Dani confessed that she thought that Minji was hot. Minji laughed and was about to say something until Hyein cut her off.
"YOU SHOULD'VE BEEN THERE. I'VE NEVER SEEN HAERIN SO ANGRY" Hyein yells on the phone.
"Why was she angry?" Minji asks, she hasn't heard Haerin's name in a while. She felt her heart clench.
"She said that Dani should have a higher standard than that and Dani could do better," Hyein explains.
"Well that's not nice, I think I'm a great catch" Minji says with a frown. She's not even there anymore and Haerin still hates her.
Hyein giggles on the phone. She likes how her sister is now. Before she probably would've agreed on what Haerin said about her but now she's finally seeing her worth.
"I know, unnie. That's what Dani and I said" Hyein says. She's sitting in Minji's old room. She missed her sister so much.
"So how's your new school, Unnie?" Hyein asks, she hasn't heard her sister talk about school since it started. Just mainly talking about stuff she was doing after school in the company and with her new friends, Hanni and Yunjin. If Hyein was being honest, she was a little jealous. Her sister has been sending pictures of the three and they look so close to each other. Especially her and her friend Hanni.
"School has been good, just lots of classes. It's alot more laid back here. Also no school uniforms so having to dress in the morning is a hassle since I have to pick out an outfit" Minji says. Minji's sense of style has changed since she's moved overseas. It was all thanks to Yunjin and Hanni. They always make sure that all three of them look good.
" That's it? No love life?" Hyein inquires. Her sister never talks about liking anyone, even when she was in Korea. Except of course, Jennie. But she hasn't talked about Jennie since she left. She thought her and Haerin might have feelings for each other but she doesn't even know about that situation anymore. Haerin has been with Ni-ki this whole time, she denies that they're in a relationship but Ni-ki acts like they are.
"Haha..mhm..actually there is someone." Minji says quietly. She's picking at her bedsheets now. She contemplates if she should tell her sister or not. She knows she had feelings for the older Kang a few months ago but she knew that it was probably time to move on from her. Her brother and Jennie will be graduating soon and will enter College. Their parents have already set the date for their wedding. The planning will start during their college years and the wedding will take place in their last year of college.
"GASP, no way! SPILL SPILL SPILL" Hyein excitedly urges her on the phone.
"His name is Sunghoon, he's in my Art history class and is part of the soccer team" Minji says, she hasn't told her sister how they actually met though. She's too embarrassed.
"Oh did you meet in class?" Hyein asks, she wonders how she knows he's in the soccer team. She hates sports and rarely even participates in P.E. class.
"Ugh. I knew you were going to ask that" Minji says, barely audible. She buries her head onto her pillow and recounts how she and Sunghoon have met.
"I-i- umm...I'm actually part of the girl's soccer team" Minji says, hoping that's enough as an answer.
"EXCUSE ME?! YOU? SOCCER? Since when did you like sports?" Hyein asks her sister, she's shocked at this information. Minji literally is a bear in hibernation all year round.
