"You look terrible," Joon jokingly says to Minji as she makes her way downstairs to the kitchen. Him and Jin are by the kitchen island already eating breakfast. They look at her appearance, she looked like she barely slept last night.
"Thanks, Joon-Oppa, that makes me feel so much better about myself" Minji sarcastically replies to Joon. Jin and Joon make eye contact with each other, they can tell that Minji definitely woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Teenagers and their hormones. They watch as Minji grabs a cup from the cabinet and pours herself some coffee. She brings the cup to her lips and drinks it. No cream or sugar.
Joon takes notice and nudges Jin. He clears his throat and Minji looks at both of them.
"No cream or sugar? I thought you said plain coffee is disgusting?" Jin awkwardly laughs, he feels like he's treading on eggshells with Minji today.
"It tastes great." Minji says as she takes another sip and joins them at the counter. She grabs one of the croissants on the table and starts to aggressively pull apart the poor bread.
"Ooookayyy then" Joon says as he takes his leave from the counter and begins moving some stuff around the house.
"We have three weeks before your parents come, what's going on that little head of yours, Bear?" Jin asks her cautiously. He watches as her expression seems pained, she looks like she wants to tell him but she changes her mind and returns back to being expressionless.
"Nothing." Minji tells her Uncle. She contemplates on telling her Uncle everything but decides not to as she still doesn't even understand her own feelings yet. Last night was hell. Minji practically could not sleep. She wanted to but she was afraid that once she closes her eyes, she'll see Haerin. Not like it really mattered, even with her eyes open she sees Haerin. She tossed and turned in her bed, her lack of sleep messing with her mind.
She turned to her side and there was Haerin laying beside her, she was looking at Minji and smiling at her. It's been so long since she has smiled at Minji. She reaches out to touch her face and Haerin's smiles widen, she leans into Minji's hands as she cups her face and moves her body closer to her. Minji finally closes her eyes, exhaustion finally winning her over. When Minji woke up, she immediately sat up and looked beside her. Haerin wasn't there. She never was. Minji dreamt of her again. Fuck.
Minji was keen on denying that she had feelings for Haerin but it was getting harder, especially after she listened to the song last night. It resonated so much to her situation that she doesn't even know what to do or think of anymore. Damn Yunjin and her song recommendations. She can't deny the fact that she has good taste though. She's always been good with music, Minji knows that Yunjin meant well with the song recommendation but damn her. She's spot on. Minji opens up her phone and sends a message to their group chat "bbangzas + americano <3"
