"Dani.....Dani...wait..." Hanni pants as she tries to catch up to the other girl.
"Hanni, please. I just need some space" Danielle says quietly.
"I'll give you some space after I explain things. Please, Dani" Hanni begs as she stands in front of Danielle. The taller Australian girl looks at her and nods, Hanni takes a deep breath and steadies her gaze on Danielle's beautiful eyes.
"Dani, I never thought I'd be right here in front of you explaining to you about my past relationships but here I am. Honestly, I never thought I'd see you again. So yes, it's true that I've had past partners. I thought at that time that it's best to move on, after years of pining." Hanni explains, she searches Danielles eyes and she could see the tears welling up.
"Well that's your fault for not keeping in contact with me" Danielle quips as she wipes her eyes with her sleeves.
"I was young and dumb" Hanni says, she cups Danielle's cheeks but the other girl evades it.
"You still are," Danielle says with a pout. Hanni gives Danielle a sad smile before continuing to speak.
"My last relationship, I thought that I had finally gotten over my crush on you and it was going great until it wasn't. We didn't put any labels on our relationship but everyone knew we had something going on. The night he asked me to be official....I called out your name.." Hanni says, she lowers her voice for the last part as she looks down at the ground. Dani's ears perked up.
"You what?" Dani asks, looking at Hanni expectantly.
"I called out your name," Hanni squeaks.
"My– na-m-me?" Dani's eyes widen at what Hanni has said.
"Yes. your name. I was so embarrassed. It was my first time and I thought it'd be just like the movies but then thoughts of you and our letters popped up in my head and I just blurted out your name. That's when I knew that I was never over you. We broke up shortly after and I haven't been in a relationship since. Honestly, I was shocked when I found out that Minji knew who you were. It felt like the universe was playing a trick on me. " Hanni says, her eyes glazing over Danielle's lips. She bites the urge to lunge forward and kiss the girl in front of her. She's never told anyone why her last relationship ended, she just told everyone that she wasn't quite ready for a commitment and that's why they ended.
"Maybe the universe knew not to send you to me earlier on cause I probably would still be upset with you. Hanni, do you realize how heartbroken I was when I stopped hearing from you? You were my person, you promised me." Danielle says tearfully, Hanni reaches up and wipes her tears away for her.
"I know, im sorry, Love" Hanni says, she moves closer to Danielle and is relieved when the girl doesn't pull away.
"I'm sorry for getting upset earlier, I got jealous of the fact that other people have been with you. Which, I totally don't blame them because, I mean, look at you. You're a pretty girl, of course there'd be people lining up for you." Danielle says faster than she intended, her arms flailing around as she makes a point of how gorgeous Hanni is.
"I don't want them if they're not you" Hanni says breathlessly as she inches closer to Danielle.
"Promise me that you'll never try and get over me ever again" Danielle says to her, Hanni laughs and grabs Danielle by the back of her neck and pulls her closer, their foreheads touching.
"I'm head over heels for you, Danielle Marsh. I'll never get over you" With that said, Danielle pulls Hanni towards her. Their lips finally connected. Hanni melts into Danielles kisses, she swore the butterflies in her stomach made her feel like she's floating. Danielle grips onto Hanni's shoulders as their lips dance on each other with much fervor, the two failing to notice a shadow hovering just behind the wall.
