A black Mercedes-AMG G63 Edition 1 pulls up in Hybe's student parking lot. Sunghoon gets out and opens the passenger door. Minji grabs her bag and smiles at Sunghoon. She reaches out to grab his hand but was cut off by her friend's bickering in the back.
"Sunoo, why can't you open the door for us like Sunghoon" she hears Yunjin asking Sunoo. After her date with Sunghoon the five of them had started to hang out. It works well since they were all part of the athletics club.
"Well, I don't know Yunjin, do you think it has something to do with me sitting in the middle of you and Hanni? Sunoo says sarcastically.
"Just push her out next time, Sunoo" She hears Hanni say, the door opening and out comes Hanni. She was wearing her cheerleading uniform and looked both cute and hot at the same time. Some students stop in their tracks to stare at her and Hanni just gives them one of her radiating smiles and waves, greeting the students that had the courage to say something to her.
"We should put Hanni in the middle next time, she's the smallest out of all of us, she doesn't need all that leg room." Yunjin says as she climbs out of the car, she was sporting her letterman jacket with her grey cropped top, blue baggy jeans and her converse platform shoes.
"I'm pretty sure i saw her legs dangling during the car ride, even if she sits at the edge of the seat, doubt they'll touch the floor" Sunoo says jokingly as he gets out after Yunjin, he's also wearing his letterman jacket with his plain white-tee, straight leg jeans and his nike shoes. He looks at Yunjin as he stands beside her and eyes her shoes. She's almost the same height as him.
"Compensating for something?" he says to her, he snickers as she glares at him.
"As if, babygirl" Yunjin says, she throws her hair back and it hits him on his face.
As she tries to walk away, Sunoo puts her in a headlock and Hanni comes over to their side of the car and sees Yunjin and Sunoo already starting so early in the morning.
"Aren't you going to stop them?" Minji asks her, she offers to hold Hanni's cheerleading bag for her and Hanni hands it to her.
"Nope, I heard what they said about my feet not being able to reach the floor and how i should be in the middle next time" Hanni casually says, she crosses her arms and looks at the two giants acting like toddlers in the middle of the parking lot.
"As much as I would love to see how this plays out, Sunoo and I need to go. Coach asked us to meet today because of the big game this afternoon." Sunghoon says as he pries Sunoo and Yunjin away from each other. He gives Minji a kiss on the cheeks and smiles at the two girls before dragging Sunoo away. Sunoo glares at Yunjin and gives her the middle finger, Yunjin blows him a kiss and he pretends to catch it and throws it at the ground. They laugh at the interaction and start heading to the main building.
It's game day today and everyone is pumped. The boy's and girl's soccer team has made it into finals and are competing for regional. All the athletes have their letterman jackets on and the cheerleaders are wearing their uniform. Hanni, Minji and Yunjin make their way to their class, greeting their friends and other students on their way. Minji has gotten used to the stares the students have given her, it took her a while but she's gotten used to it. She greets them hello and links arms with Hanni.
"Did you see him? I swear he would've passed out if you said anything else to him" Hanni says, remembering the interaction they had in the hallway. A boy in their grade plucked up the courage to greet Minji good morning and wished her luck with the game today. He told her that he'll be watching and cheering for her in the bleachers.
"Stop, you're exaggerating." Minji rolls her eyes at Hanni, she takes her seat at her shared desk with Hanni and pulls out the chair for her. Hanni takes the seat and smiles at her, blowing a kiss in her direction as a thank you. They could hear their classmates squeal at their interaction. Yunjin walks into the class and pulls a seat by their desk.
"What'd I miss?" Yunjin asks, she smirks as a girl walks in the classroom after her, looking disheveled.
"Nothing as interesting as what you were doing. I don't even wanna know where you disappeared to. One moment you're beside us and the next, you're gone. POOF" Hanni rolls her eyes at her friend, Yunjin laughs and waves her hand in the air.
"She was wishing me luck for the game today, das all" Yunjin says, she licks her lips subconsciously as she makes eye contact with the girl across the room. Minji can see that the girl's face is bright red. She thinks of Sunghoon and how he kisses her cheeks, she wonders if her face also turns red like the girl across the room.
"You good babes?" Minji's thoughts are cut short as Yunjin waves her hands in front of her face, trying to get her attention.
"Uhh, yeah. Just thinking" Minji answers her, Yunjin eyes her down and smirks.
"Thinking about wishing Sunghoon some luck too?" Yunjin wiggles her brows at her and smirks.
"Ugh. stop that Yunjin. You look gross when you do that" Hanni says to her friend, her attention diverting to Minji's direction.
"Gross? The girls and boys love it. I've heard no complaints so far" Yunjin counters at Hanni, her attention focuses on Minji and she holds out her hands.
"It's okay, Minji. You don't have to do anything you're not comfortable with yet. He's not pressuring you is he? Yunjin asks, she's usually the jokester of the group but does have her time when she shows that she cares for the girls.
"No, no. He's been patient with me. I just feel kinda bad since we've been kinda seeing each other for a month now and we still haven't kissed." Minji says to her friends. It's true, they have been seeing each other for a month now. Their first date was a success and they've been on a few more after that but they always just end it with a hug and kiss on the cheeks after. There's been times when they would've kissed but Minji would always look away and find a way to divert his attention elsewhere. She blames it on Jin and Joon traumatizing her about their attempt to talk about the "birds and the bees" to her. Sunghoon is a nice guy but for some reason she feels like something is off. She just can't put her hands on it yet.
"Then why not kiss?" Hanni says matter of factly. She rummages through her cheerleading back to look for her jacket, she forgot that the classrooms always felt like the Arctic for some reason.
"Shit." Hanni says under her breath. Minji looks at her and Hanni explains that she must've left her jacket in her locker and now she's going to freeze to death before the first period even starts. Minji opens up her bag and hands Hanni her letterman jacket.
"Are you sure? Don't you need it?" Hanni asks, she puts on Minji's jacket and it engulfs her. Minji's perfume infiltrates her nose and she wraps her arms tightly around herself to feel the warmth of the jacket. Minji and Yunjin smile at Hanni's actions, she's like a little kid.
"Nah, not right now. You can use it for the whole day, it looks like you'll need it more" Minji tells her with a smile. The bell rings indicating that class is about to start soon. Yunjin makes her way back to her designated seat and immediately pulls out her phone. She's furiously writing something.
Minji and Hanni both pull out their laptops and wait until their teacher gets to the class. Minji was staring blankly at a wall and Hanni was looking at her. She puts her hands on top of Minji's and smiles at her.
"Don't think too much about it Min, it'll happen when the time is right" Hanni tells her, she takes her hands off of Minji's hands and starts logging into her computer. She feels like there's more to it than Minji has told them, they just have to wait until she's ready to tell them.
