Chapter 50

"I just want to know who finished the whole bag of Turtle chips before we even got home" Minji says to the group of girls as they walk back into the house.

"Yeah, no clue. Whoever it was doesn't have any self control at all" Hyewon says as she sneakily dust off crumbs from her shirt. Minji looks at her and starts to uncontrollably laugh.

"What?" Hyewon asks as she looks at the girls, confused at what Minji was laughing at. Yunjin joins Minji in her laughing fit as she gives the girl a double take and sees what Minji was laughing at.

Hyewon feels a hand caress her cheeks and then to the side of her mouth. She gapes when she realizes who's hand it was. Eunbi was smiling at her as she wiped the rest of the crumbs that were still on Hyewon's face.

"Maybe next time you should get rid of all the evidence before making a comment, Hyewon-ah" Eunbi says laughing. Hyewon opens her mouth but no words come out, this prompts Minji and Yunjin to laugh harder at both of them.

"What's so funny?" they hear Hanni's voice, she's walking hand in hand with Dani. Their faces both beet red and seem to be out of breath. Yunjin raises her eyebrows at the shorter girl and nudges Minji's side. Hanni notices both her friends' actions and gives both of them a glare. Before they could start on their teasing, Dani saves the day by offering to help Hyewon and Eunbi with the groceries.

Minji, Yunjin and Hanni were left by the three other girls, they looked at each other and burst out laughing. They have no idea what they're laughing about but as soon as they made eye contact with each other the laughing fits just started. If anyone walked in on them they'd probably think they were crazy, the three girls seem to understand each other with just their laughter.

"Oh go-d. Sto-o-p loo-k–ing at me." Minji says in between laughs as she makes eye contact with Yunjin, she tries to cover up the girl's face but it is too late as she starts laughing again.

"I didn't even do anything" Yunjin says as she laughs at Minji bending over, trying to catch her breath for laughing too much.

"It's just your face" Hanni says with a laugh as she smacks Yunjin's back, Yunjin looks at her friends and scrunches her eyebrows.

"What's wrong with my face?" eyebrows still scrunched and she makes a funny face which made the other two laugh even more. Their laughter subsided as Minji's phone rings, she looks and sees that it was Sunghoon calling her.

"I'll be right back, Hoon is calling. I'll meet you guys in the back" Minji says to her two friends, she steps out of the house and hears her friends telling her to tell SungHoon they said hello.

Hanni and Yunjin join the group out in the backyard and formally introduce Eunbi to Minji's friends. Chan and Felix fawn over Eunbi and ask her how she started becoming an influencer, Hyewon looks at her Eunbi with complete heart-eyes. Chaewon and Hyein tease Hyewon and Haerin distances herself from the group. Her eyes darted back and forth to the group and to the door by the kitchen, hoping to see Minji come back and join the group.

"She's on the phone right now, she'll join us soon" Hanni says as she notices the younger girl not really interacting with the group, Dani is right beside Hanni and seems to have made her side her permanent spot for the night.

Haerin nods at Hanni but keeps her eyes trained on the door. She doesn't know where this anxiousness is coming from, her and Minji were just good a few moments ago. She doesn't know why she felt so uneasy when Minji left without saying goodbye to her or when the girl wasn't beside her.

Minji finally comes out from the house and Haerin's eyes light up, she follows Minji with her eyes until the older girl is right in front of her. Minji smiles at her and holds out her hands for her to take. Haerin shyly smiles and takes her hands, she feels Minji lightly squeeze her hands and it brought her some sense of reassurance.
