4th June 1995

I don't know why but today is the day I planned to get this object from the scriptorium. The day before my birthday. I have no idea where this place is. Barty could have given me a bloody hint.  Im positive he didnt know, as he said the Dark Lord didnt explain.

I begin wandering around the dungeons trying to find any trace of a hidden door in these corridors. "Astra." I hear a voice behind me. "Blimey you scared me." I say jumping. Alex and Atti both chuckle softly "Sorry wolfie." Atti responds. "What are you guys doing down here?" I ask, curiously wondering why they are here too. "We're on a mission, what about you?" Alex responds. "Same, actually." I reply. I think for a moment on how I'm going to answer this. "I'm looking for an old family artefact, hidden in Salazar Slytherin's Scriptorium, though I'm not quite sure where it is. All I know is that the entrance is somewhere in the dungeons." I explain still looking around the corridor.

Atti raises his eyebrows. "Maybe this'll help." He says handing me a piece of paper. "Maybe. Where did you get this?" I ask, now getting a closer look. "I don't know, found it on me Christmas morning. No idea where the hell it came from." He says shrugging. He looks around the room for a moment. "There's a brazier here, just like in the drawing. And look!" He blurts, walking down the hall a bit more. "There's two more. Maybe these braziers can grant us access to the scriptorium?" He adds. "Should we light one each?" I suggest, Atti nods, pulling out his wand. We all aim at separate braziers and light them together.

"Incendio!"

"Incendio!"

"Confringo!"

Atti and I turn towards Alex, both having blank looks on our faces. Of course, Alex had to use a more powerful fire spell to show us up. Suddenly we hear a door slide open, leading down a dark, narrow staircase. Atti casts Lumos with his wand, leading us down. "Dark, ominous corridors. My favourite." Atti says sarcastically. I roll my eyes at his comment. As we enter the next room, I notice Atti looks uncomfortable, like he's trying to fight a headache. "Ah.." I hear him mumble as he covers his ears. "That voice.. is ancient.. sinister." He says with a frown. "Voice? What voice?" I question. "Have you gone mad?" Alex asks Atti "I hear a whisper saying, 'speak to me.' If you guys can't hear it, I can only assume it's in Parseltongue." "Bloody snakes." Atti tells us, muttering to himself also. He takes a breath before speaking something in Parseltongue. It must have worked, whatever he said because the eyes of the snakes suddenly glow before they slither up and around, unlocking the door. I shiver at hearing him speak in that language. "I'll never get used to that." Alex mutters. "Yeah me either, its kind of creepy." I reply, turning my head to glance at Alex.

We follow Atti towards a short hallway, another door blocking the path. The door behind us locks. Oh great were stuck in a dark creep hallway, with cob webs everywhere. Shaking my head to release the thoughts of a spider crawling over me, my eyes land on something worse. A human skeleton laying on the ground in front of a creepy looking door. Next to the skeleton however, scratched into the floor is the dreaded name of an unforgivable curse.

Crucio

I notice Atti looking at a note in his hands, standing still, like he's in deep thought. "What's that?" I ask curiously looking over his shoulder. He puts the note in his pocket and turns to face Alex and I. "One of us has to cast Crucio on another for us to pass through here, otherwise we're stuck here like that poor soul." He announces, pointing to the skeleton on the floor.
