"Fields filled with walkers," Rick announced when he returned from his rotation on guard duty, sending Maggie to cover watch. "I didn't see any snipers out there, but we'll keep Maggie on watch."

"I'll get up in the guard tower," Daryl suggested as he joined the small group in the corner. "Take out half them walkers, give these guys a chance to fix the fence."

"Or we use some of the cars to put the bus in place," Michonne proposed an idea that would use less of their ammo.

"We can't access the field without burning through our bullets," Hershel said, Parker looked up at Rick, figuring he would have some plan.

"So we're trapped in here?" Glenn summed up, still pissed off about absolutely everything. "There's barely any food or ammo."

"Been here before," Daryl muttered, not seeing how the main source of their problem was being trapped behind steel bars. "We'll be alright."

"Yeah, maybe before there was someone putting everyone at each other's throats," Parker commented, not pleased with Merle being in the other room.

"That's when it was just us. Before there was a snake in the nest." Glenn lashed out, Daryl and him getting in each other's faces.

"All Merle's done is piss us off. Just ignore him. It works for me." Parker spoke up which earned her a middle finger from Merle. "At least I can flip you off with both hands asshat." She stuck up both her hands just to prove her point.

"This is why I'm glad there's a steel gate between those two," Carol mumbled, making Parker laugh slightly.

"Man, are we gonna go through this again?" Daryl asked tiredly, sick of having the same argument with Glenn. Parker stood between the two men, pushing them away from each other.

"Don't you dare start fighting."

"Look, Merle is staying here. He's with us now," Daryl stated, backing off. "Get used to it. All y'all." Daryl stormed up the stairs to get away from the group and Glenn leaned over to Rick.

"Seriously, Rick, I don't think Merle living here is really gonna fly." Parker rolled her eyes, knowing Daryl could hear them from the top of the stairs.

"I can't kick him out," Rick ground out, not wanting to risk Daryl leaving again.

"I wouldn't ask you to live with Shane after he tried to kill you," Glenn muttered, his volume very much not a whisper.

"Merle has military experience. He may be erratic, but don't underestimate his loyalty to his brother." Hershel cut in, he'd never met Merle, this was his first and if he got to know him for just a bit longer he would probably see why the group despised him so much.

"Yeah, or Daryl's loyalty to Merle," Parker murmured.

"What if we solve both problems at once?" Glenn offered the idea, wanting this whole war between them and Woodbury to end. "Deliver Merle to the Governor. Bargaining chip. Give him his traitor, maybe declare a truce." Parker shook her head, raising her hands in surrender.

"I'm out. I'm no longer being a part of this conversation." Rick stopped her and pulled her to the side.

"You and Daryl need to work things out." Parker slapped his hand down when he pointed at the perch where Daryl was pacing.

"Don't point! And what's going on between me and him isn't the reason this group is falling to pieces right now, Rick." She whispered back, the real reason was just a few miles away probably planning on finishing the job. Or the one who was just fifteen feet from them.

"No, but people having to tiptoe around you and him isn't helping. The two of you need to be either on talking terms or one of you is moving into a different cellblock." She crossed her arms over her chest, looking over his shoulder instead of at him.
