"Well, judging by the fact that you have no fresh blood on you and he's not following you. I'm gonna go on a whim here and guess that you actually let Dwight go?" Parker skeptically pieced together as Daryl returned from his little trip in the woods he took with Dwight. "And since you aren't exactly talking right now, you're probably upset with me- understandably so. But I'm still going to say that I think that you did the right thing."
"Yeah," Daryl all but grunted as he continued to walk, not bothering to look at her.
"Are you okay?" Parker questioned, following behind him. "Give me shit for not telling you about the decision about Negan. But you can't just give me the cold shoulder."
"You think Rick did the right thing?" Daryl finally asked still not looking at her as he walked a few feet ahead her. "Saving' his life?"
"I don't know," Parker replied honestly. "I guess it makes sense, but at the same time I still think Negan should have died. But also, at the same time I was thinking the exact same thing as Rick before he even brought it up."
"Right," He scoffed, finally looking at her for the briefest second. "And I ain't the only one who doesn't agree with you. Maggie, Jesus and a couple of other people think the same."
"Rick should have told them," Parker agreed. "I could have said something, but I didn't. But I know now that it was a dumb thing to keep from everyone. Everybody should have known beforehand."
"Yeah, maybe you shouldn't have kept it a damn secret. Especially from Maggie. Or me."
"I know, and I am sorry for keeping it. But that wasn't one of the times where I could just turn around and go against him."
"So, what are we doin' now? You and me?"
"We'll go home," Parker said after a moment, gesturing in the direction of their town. "Back to Alexandria."
"Do we still have a place to go back to?" Daryl asked as they slowly walked up the path through Hilltop.
"Of course we do," Parker replied, reaching for his hand. "Because I have you, and you have me." Daryl smiled slightly but she could tell that it was forced.
"You're right. I gotta go talk to Maggie and Jesus," He said abruptly, kissing her on the forehead. "I'll find you later."
"Have fun," Parker sent him a smile back, watching as he walked away. Although for other reasons she decided not to press him for answers. "I'm going to look for Rick." She spoke up even if it was just herself that she was speaking to. Parker didn't go looking for Rick. Instead, she ventured to the medical trailer, where Negan was confined, handcuffed to one of the only beds in there. Parker walked in and offered Siddiq a brief smile who was tending to another patient. "Hello," She glanced around the trailer before looking at him. "Is the asshole awake?"
"Uh... he was about ten minutes ago when I checked in on him," Siddiq responded, glancing over at her as he took a break from the person he was attending to. "Do you want me to call Rick?"
"No," Parker answered. "I just need to talk to him."
"Okay," Siddiq decided not to argue. "Go on in then." Parker stepped into the back area of the trailer where Negan was and saw him lying on the bed, with his eyes closed. His neck had been bandaged, and when she looked at him, she crossed her arms and clenched her jaw.
"I know you're awake, asshole," Parker instantly spoke, not even remotely in the mood to deal with his jokes. Negan opened one eye a smirk quickly taking place on his face before closing it again.
"Never said I wasn't."
"Funny," She shot back, standing in the doorway.
"What brings you here?" Negan asked, his voice hoarse. "Finally here to get your revenge?"
