When Rick entered the room by kicking open the door, he had an unconscious woman covered in blood over his shoulder. Parker set the baby down in the makeshift crib running over to help. "Carl, get a blanket," Rick ordered, Parker put the woman's other arm over her shoulder, helping get her down the stairs. "Beth, water.. and a towel."
"Here?" Carl checked, laying a blanket down as they maneuvered her through the tables.
"There's good." Parker nodded, waiting for him to lay it down before they carefully laid her down on it. "What happened to her?" She looked over at Rick for an explanation.
"She's not coming in the cellblocks," Rick responded, laying the woman down on the blanket with his sister's help. Parker poured some water on her to cool her down and the woman tried to fight her off. Rick reacted instantly pushing his sister back, trying to get the stranger to calm down.
"Excuse you. Do you want me to let you overheat?"
"It's alright.. it's alright. Hey, look at me. Look at me. Who are you? It's okay, hey." She tried to reach for her katana, but Parker kicked it back towards the other end of the room. "No. We're not going to hurt you unless you try something stupid first, alright?"
"Rick," Daryl spoke, appearing out of thin air. "Who the hell's this?"
"You wanna tell us your name?" Rick asked, but the woman remained silent. "You wanna tell us your name?" He whispered, his face inches from hers as her eyes bounced between each person in the room. Again, she didn't respond, so Daryl joined in.
"Y'all come on in here." He waited at the cellblock gate.
"Everything alright?" Rick questioned, eyeing Parker.
"What happened?" Parker slowly walked to the door, nervous that something bad had happened already.
"You're gonna wanna see this," Daryl responded. Rick looked back at Hershel and gestured with his head to the random woman on the floor.
"Go ahead. Carl, get the bag." He picked up the katana, holding it up to show it to the girl, "We'll keep this safe and sound. The doors are all locked, you'll be safe here."
"And we can treat that wound you have on your leg." She just grunted in response, rolling her eyes.
"I didn't ask for your help." She ground out, clinging to the metal caging beside her as a way to keep herself upright.
"Doesn't matter. Can't let you leave." Rick turned around, following after Daryl.
"A thank you would be nice." Parker scooped up the baby, cradling her in her arms, and followed them into the cellblock, and was surprised to see Carol sitting on the bottom bunk, bruised and battered but alive. When Rick saw her, a small smile appeared on his face and he hugged Carol tightly. After thinking she was dead, finding her was a major miracle.
"How?" Hershel mumbled, hugging Carol.
"Poor thing fought her way into a cell," Daryl explained a faint smile on his face. "She must have passed out. Dehydrated." Carol then saw the baby and gasped, a smile on her face until she turned to Rick, seeing his expression. She realized what this meant and her heart broke. Then she started to cry, hugging him again.
"I'm sorry." Carol took the baby from Parker, who was struggling to fight back her tears. When the baby was safe in Carol's arms, Parker turned to her nephew and hugged him, feeling him hug her back as tight as he could, burying his face in her shirt as he tried not to cry.
"Hey, hey, it's okay," Parker whispered, rubbing his back, "It's okay."
"What's up with that girl?" Daryl nodded in the direction of their food area which was also where they had left her.
