Rick couldn't lie to his sister. He'd never been very good at it, ever since they were kids. It was the fact that he couldn't lie to her that often betrayed him when he needed it most and resulted in many arguments. Now, however, he knew that he needed her opinion, and as much as he didn't want to involve her, she was the voice of reason when it came to most decisions. When he told her, Daryl, and Hershel about his plan to hand over Michonne to the Governor as a way to keep everyone else alive, Parker was hesitant to go along with it.

"You know they'll kill her as soon as you get there, right?" Parker asked, wanting to make sure he knew what exactly was going to happen. "Did you forget that she stabbed him in the eye and you are the man who literally attacked his town? Twice."

"It's the only way," Rick tried to convince them. "No one else knows."

"You gonna tell 'em?" Daryl asked.

"Not till later," Rick replied. "We have to do it today, it has to be quiet."

"You have a plan?" Parker asked stepping away from the fence as a walker slammed up against it.

"You're gonna tell her you two need to talk," Rick explained, and Parker pinched her eyebrows together confused. "Away from the rest."

"Why's it gotta be me?" Parker asked.

"Because you're probably the most trustable person out of the four of us." Rick answered.

"Just ain't us man," Daryl said quietly.

"No. No, it isn't" Hershel agreed sounding almost disappointed in what things had come to, he squinted at the others before walking away.

"We do this... we avoid a fight," Rick tried to explain. "No one else dies."

"And all we have to do is hand over Michonne?" Parker asked rhetorically. "Rick, it's not right. I don't like this at all."

"We already scheduled a meeting," Rick told her, in other words, he wasn't changing his mind. "Everything is arranged."

"There's no way for you to get in and out safely. He'll kill you and then he'll come for us."

"It's the only way," Rick insisted.

"No, there has to be another way," Parker argued. "She's not a bad person."

"This is my plan. We're going to do it my way." Daryl nodded.

"Alright." He agreed while Parker gritted her teeth and crossed her arms, giving Rick the impression that she didn't agree.

"We need someone else," Rick said, and Parker had the feeling she knew who he was talking about, especially when Daryl spoke.

"I'll talk to him." Merle.

"I'll do it," Rick offered.

"I'll go with you."

"No. Just me." Rick said, ending the discussion there. Once he left to talk to Merle, Parker turned to Daryl.

"Are you okay with this?"

"Hell no," Daryl replied. "But if I have to choose between her dying or you dying, you know what my choice is."

"But we don't kill people," Parker insisted. "We said it from the beginning."

"Yeah, and now look at us," Daryl looked around. "We've killed plenty of people."

"Because they tried to kill us," Parker replied. "Not because we wanted to. She hasn't done anything to deserve this."

"We gotta do this," Daryl sighed. "I can't let them hurt you." Parker looked at him, trying to decide on the best choice of words.

"I don't want you to get hurt either. You know that if you go with Rick, you'll die. This isn't as easy as the Governor is making it out to be. Men like him... they don't negotiate. They do whatever it takes to make sure they stay on top."
