chapter 028. his lifeline

luffy had spent the entire one million berries they had on yesterday's party.
when nami had actually heard that, the navigator had pure fury burning in her eyes; it only took a second for he to pummel the captain with her fists to make him look even worse than garp had made luffy look.
definitely not a fist of love.
[name] raised a finger as she watched her captain accept his punishment, "fist of fury..."
robin smiled, "indeed."
"dammit, i was going to fill the ship with expensive furniture!!" nami fell to her knees in despair.
robin giggled, "let's see what we can scrounge up."
"hey, nami!" luffy stood up, looking eager, "i want to play, so give me some allowance!"
"none for you!"
nami gave some allowance to the rest of the straw hat pirates and only a few coins that weren't even enough for a stick of water-water meat to luffy. the poor boy sulked while sanji was already making a grocery list of supplies he would need. zoro took some money as well to go ahead and try to find a new sword to buy (and hopefully find yuri on the way, that girl could not stay in one place). chopper was jumping around murmuring something about buying new books while robin was hoping to tag along with him.
nami dragged [name] away before she could give some of her money to her greedy captain she would always obey.
"come on, [name]-chan!! let's get some new clothes!!" luffy pouted at the [h/c] that was being dragged away. he really was hoping to play around with her a little and eat a whole lot once they were done.
"already so pouty, captain?" robin teased as they sailed on the yagura bull around the city; luffy had no choice but to tag along with chopper and her.
luffy nodded, holding a down look. "i wanted to play with [name]!! i couldn't even do that at the party yesterday! she began cooking with sanji and i forgot..."
"[name] really is kinda cool, though," chopper commented, smiling cutely at the thought of his elder-sister figure. "back at the sky island, she helped me out a lot and promised to always protect me!! she even gave me this!" he held up his hoof where there was a thin red string tied around him.
"oh, me as well," robin picked out a red string from her pockets as well, holding it in her hand and showing it to luffy and chopper, "she gave it to me promising that she would always watch my back." smiling at the thought of [name]'s actions at enies lobby, robin continued, "and she truly did."
