"that ship was kind of weird..."

hearing the topic regarding the ship once more, usopp glanced at [name] with an upset look, "well, i agree with you, it was weird. i just have a bad feeling about this. i mean, i have a feeling they were all pirates but they don't have a captain or a sail, or even a navigator. it felt weird seeing that big ship so...empty."

nami sighed at what they were talking about, "you guys are still talking about that? just ignore it, geez. we're getting close to an island now since the weather is steady," she looked at the top of the mast, "robin! did you see an island?"

"there's an island in front since just now."

"alright, everyone! wait for the rest before running off on the island, please. don't just run off and cause trouble..."

the sailing was quiet and relaxing. [name] waited for the island to come closer while enjoying the silence, yet her mind kept returning to that abandoned ship. zoro kept telling her to forget about it already since it was none of their business, but she trusted her sixth sense. and that sixth sense told her to be cautious of the entirely empty island, with long bamboo reaching up into the sky.

"nami," [name] whispered to the navigator, "there's nothing on the island - it could be dangerous. maybe we should be a little careful, don't you think?"

"i guess so. i'll go on ahead with them just for safety, could you remain here in the meantime?"

"sure."

luffy and a few others ran off towards the island to find some adventure and food, and [name] was left there with a few chores. after tossing the anchor into the water, she decided to go up the mast and stand by watch over there.

enjoying the scenery and the wind, she placed her hand on the wood and began caressing it softly. she didn't know why, but she began whispering, "merry is really strong, huh...?" she didn't hear anything, just like she expected, "say, merry...do you love everyone in the crew? is that why you tried to fix our ship back at the sky island?"

she had a vague idea who it was, and all hints pointed at the ship itself. "you're is really amazing, you can fix yourself..." sitting down cross-legged, she leaned against the mast, staring at the ship's flag, "to think that a ship can have emotions and feel love...i'm kind of jealous of you, merry."

closing her eyes, she looked back down, scarf flying with the wind. an idea popped into her remind and she pulled out a string from her red scarf, and turned around to tie it around the watch tower's pillar. patting it once she was done, she whispered, "merry has a pillar already, but...can i be merry's pillar too?" she looked up again, sitting on her thighs, "i won't let anyone hurt merry, so merry can lean on me too, okay? after all, captain would cry if merry got hurt. merry is a member of our crew too, okay?"
