chapter 002. adventures in the country of sand!
[ just because you're good at something, does that mean you enjoy it? ]

[name] was the kind of person who thought before she acted. she had thought it through entirely when she offered vivi her help in saving her kingdom, and she was going to go through her words and follow them up with her actions.
the only problem was that everyone except her, ace, and vivi, were moaning and complaining about the intense heat, enough to dry up sweat itself. luffy wasn't doing as great as those three, moaning front thirst with his tongue sticking out, walking like a grandpa with a stick in hand.
usopp was copying his idea, walking not far from zoro who wasn't complaining much either as he dragged the doctor of the crew behind him on a small plank, while nami and sanji seemed pretty good too, not ones to overreact like luffy was in this heat.
walking at the far back once more, [name] covered her face with her scarf while nami scolded luffy, "would you stop complaining already luffy?! you're just wasting energy!"
chopper groaned as he lay half-dead on the plank, "i can do well in cold..." he wheezed, "but heat is no good."
"it's because you're too fluffy! just look at your fur coat, you're literally a thick reindeer!" [name] looked at the little animal with eyes and face blank, so he was a reindeer? "why not take off your fur coat? it won't be as hot then."
enraged by usopp's statement that sounded like an insult to the reindeer, he suddenly switched into something entirely different, becoming heavier and bigger in size. "what did you say, you jerk?! don't make fun of reindeer, you bastard!"
...so he isn't a reindeer?
[name] would have questioned it but didn't, only following along not far behind at the back of the group, until she noticed ace slow down a bit and match her pace.
"you've been oddly quiet, little miss.." he attempted conversation, fixing his hat, "not a talkative person, maybe?"
[name]'s eyes were only peeking out so she didn't find a reason to smile, glancing at him momentarily, "well, i've traveled by myself for a while now, so i'm not very used to talking unnecessarily..."
"is that so? mind if ask for details about your travels?"
she shrugged, "nothing interesting to share honestly. only been to a few islands, came across a bunch of pirates too, but they were kind of mean when they tried to steal my stuff, so i broke their backs and burnt their ship."
