chapter 026. to a nakama

[name]'s body came in contact with the water.
it felt refreshing to her muscles and to her skin, especially with her clothes ripped off and stained in blood she didn't even know who it belonged to. nevertheless, she didn't stay long underneath and quickly swam up as fast as she could, which wasn't very fast.
luffy was blowing bubbles behind her back and instantly took a much-needed breath when she reached the surface. "[name]-chan!!" sanji was already on-board, seeing how he was leaning over the railings. "climb up, quickly!"
she swam over to the ladder that was let down and climbed up, entire body trembling from overwork. she'd already hit her limit a long time ago, the only reason she was able to move right now was from overworking herself.
this would definitely catch up to her in a few days - she was in for a long nap.
climbing aboard, she set luffy down while taking heavy breaths. not soon after the [h/c] was zoro with shirayuri in his arms, holding her bridal style while she was half unconscious for recklessly jumping in the water earlier without a guardian to help her once she would sink.
chimney and gonbe were on his shoulders and they jumped off once he set the girl in his arms down on deck.
[name] patted the floorboards, as if giving it a headpat, "you couldn't have picked a better time to show up, merry. thank you..."
the wind responded to her by showing her the red string of her scarf wrapped around the ship's mast.
shirayuri breathed in heavily, "m-man...that was wild!!" she was soaked all over as she sat up, stars in her eyes as she gazed over the ship. "so you're the going merry they were all screaming about?! haha, thanks for saving us back there!"
"merry!' usopp cried as he hung from the railing. "the going merry is alive!"
nami and franky soon climb on and are on the main deck while sanji is on the upper deck. the only ones they were missing are chopper and robin, and granny kokoro.
[name] and zoro really only saved the people they loved, huh?
"go on!" kokoro's voice calls from the sea. "get aboard, you devil fruit users!" she laughs.
chopper and robin fly through the air in the next second before crashlanding on the deck. well, franky caught robin in his giant arms while chopper landed in [name]'s hands, then granny kokoro leaps out of the water to land on the deck.
