chapter 008. the promise they made on jaya's shore...

arriving to the surface, [name] threw everyone (zoro on her shoulder, sanji by her side, luffy on her back, and the supplies in one hand) onto going merry and heard usopp scream at their sudden arrival, before [name] climbed up the ship as well, entirely drenched. everyone was wheezing for air, zoro staring at her like she was some kind of monster to do that out of nowhere and swim faster than dolphins themselves.
they really had just invited a monster to their crew, huh?
"[name]!!" usopp and chopper had tears in their eyes at the sight of the quartet arriving back onboard safely, "you're alive! everyone's alive!!"
sanji was cooing while lying on the ground, "such beautiful strength!! [name]-chwan has such a strong woman charm to herself!!"
luffy was unconscious with nami continuously slapping him in hopes he would wake.
zoro was only twitching his eye, "faster...than a dolphin..."
"hey, guys! how did you get out-"
"look, the turtle's mouth is wide open!"
[name] frowned, "so it was a turtle?"
the swordsman didn't agree, "turtle? it wasn't a turtle. it was a gorilla!"
"no no, it's the size of a human," sanji interjected, picking himself up, "maybe it's actually a sea monster."
"at first, it was friendly with luffy-"
[name] interferes, "since they're both monkeys."
"but anyways," zoro continued, "he saw this stuff that we got from the ship, he suddenly started going on a rampage."
sanji further added, "and that's when [name]-chan grabbed all of us and swam all the way up here!"
usopp was still shedding tears, along with chopper who hugged [name] like she was his elder sister, while nami was still slapping luffy awake. "the guy you four met is masria, he's a salvager! but it's amazing that you guys escaped from that turtle's mouth!"
"huh, what turtle? i swam up with everyone all the way up here-"
usopp grabbed her face and turned her head around. "that turtle! that's what we're talking about!" he watched zoro and sanji's expressions morph into a look he couldn't describe properly, "it's a turtle that swallowed the four of you!"
