Aniyah's POV
"Girl you need to let me do something to this head." I tooted my lips into a mug as I felt around in my friend's head.
"Why do everybody keep saying that? My hair looks fine!" Lee huffed rolling her eyes as we slowly walked out of Sephora.
We were at the mall shopping for our new arrivals. Or more so I was trying to but she wouldn't let me.
"Fine to who, you?" I joked.
Lee's hair wasn't terrible but it wasn't as good as I knew I would have it looking. She had it in loose "waves" hanging to her shoulders. Her hair looked very thick and healthy but her skunk stripe was fading and her shit looked frizzy just sitting on top of her head. She knew better.
"Just let me slap a wig on it please." I begged.
"Girl, hush." She waved me off.
As we were walking we passed Once Upon A Child so I knew we had to go in. Without warning I pulled Lee in and instantly locked my eyes on some cute onesies they had on display by the entrance.
"Aniyah, no. I told you don't go blowing money until we know the gender." Lee protested.
"I thought you were doing a gender reveal?"
"I was at first but I decided not to. I find out in two weeks so just let it go for now."
I smacked my teeth. "You're lame."
She laughed. "Stop pouting."
"I'm not, ain't nobody thinking about you. I'm shopping for E-money." I sassed holding up a pair of overalls that I knew he'd look adorable in.
"Whatever." She inspected a rack filled with little tutus.
"What happened to not getting anything, ma'am? Put that down!" I smacked the tutu from her hand.
"Stop! I was just saying don't get gender-specific things until we know. And plus I'm not looking for the twins. I just think these will look good on Caiden."
She was looking at a pair of little purple snow boots. "Aww, how cute. Have you talked to Twin at all?"
She placed her hand over her semi-round bump. "No. Landin tells me he's excited though and his big thing is he wants me to eat."
"He's not wrong, you should be eating."
"I am." She whined. "I ate two whole waffles this morning and I'm actually hungry again."
"Good, we can go eat when we leave."
"Ok, make it quick. Whichever one is at the bottom is getting restless."
"You feel them?" I got excited quickly getting closer to her belly.
"Sometimes. It just started the other day but this one is always rowdy at this time of day and this is usually when I take my lunch break." She explained pointing to her lower left side.
I beamed as I placed my hand on her stomach. It was still soft but had a firm feel to it once you gripped it. I could just barely feel movement.
"You can't really feel from the outside, it's more of an internal feeling." Lee clarified.
"I think I felt something. I'm so happy I can't wait to meet them." My cheeks started to hurt from how hard I was smiling.
"Me either. Only twenty more weeks to go." Lee sighed with a smile.
We left the store once we got some clothes for E and the boots and a tutu for Caiden. "So how's the apartment?" I asked as we walked through the mall towards the exit.
