Lee's POV

Legend wouldn't stop squirming around and whining as we tried to take a nice picture as a family. It was the twins' first birthday party and all I asked was for them to stay still for a minute while I tried to capture the memories. But who am I kidding? After all, they were Lester's sons.

Tina stood behind my phone snapping away as we tried to get him to calm down. He threw his head back trying to escape my arms so I got a hold of him and turned him to face me. "Can you calm down, please?"

In response, Legend dropped a few tears and put his tiny fist into his mouth, covering it in saliva.

"I'm done." I surrendered as I put him down so he could walk.

He finally took his first steps alone the other day so now he thinks he can run around whenever he wants. They grow up so fast. Lester laughed as I tried to take a few steps with my brat before being distracted by Zay and walking off.

It didn't take long for him to calm down and once he did we went to play in the ball pit where Aniyah joined us. Her whole face lit up when she scooped her best friend from my arms. "Hi fatts!"

"Will you stop calling him that?" I laughed. "I thought his nickname was Budda?"

She cocked her neck to give me a death glare, her curls whipping her in the face and sticking to her lip gloss before she removed it with her French tip nails. "It was my nickname for him until all you muthafuckers took it and ran with it."

She rolled her eyes as I laughed at the mini tantrum. "Say God mama needs her own nickname, ain't that right?"

Legend gave her a wide toothy grin and nodded in approval before handing her a ball. She frowned her lips and pretended to blink away tears as she gushed over the toddler. "Awnn, thank you fat fat!"

I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked up to see my nana smiling down at me. "Nana!" I gasped like a little girl and quickly made my way out of the ball pit. I dusted off my pants before hugging her.

"I'm glad you made it."

"I wouldn't miss my babies' first birthday for nothing in the world girl, are you crazy?" She joked as we pulled away.

Aniyah emerged with my son on her hip. Legend was already reaching for his nana so she eagerly scooped him into her arms. "You getting big, boy."

"I know, right?" I spoke as I fixed his clothing. "It's like they blew up overnight."

"I told you it would happen." She reminded me before turning to him. "Happy birthday, little man. Where's your brother?"

Just then Lester walked up with Junior lying on his back, draped over his father's shoulder. Even though they were both smiling my motherly instincts kicked in because it still looked dangerous.

I rushed over to the two almost in a panic. "Lester be careful with him!"

"He's good, I got him!" His smile never left his face as we heard our son giggling wildly while Lester removed him. "Tell Mama stop being scary."

"Don't be telling him to say that." I calmed down a bit seeing LJ was now on his hip. I opened my mouth to speak again but was interrupted by Landin's voice.

"Y'all ugly as fuck for the matching outfits." He teased as he scanned us.

Since the boys loved Sesame Street that was the entire theme of the party, including our clothes. The four of us wore custom-made red dickies jumpsuits with the tv show characters plastered on the front and our names on the back. (Lester, Legend, Mommy, Daddy)Lester had a fresh retwist and I gave the boys some little puff balls to style their growing Afros. It was cute and Landin was simply being a hater.
