Lee's POV
All of us girls stopped and watched Elijah as he tripped, tumbling down to his knees. My immediate reaction was to get up and help him but D let me know that babies react based on us. If I get up and make a scene when he falls he will start crying and acting more hurt than he was.
Aniyah, D, and I watched him curl his lip as he looked at his mother.
"You're ok, son! Get up go play!" She shouted from our seat on a nearby park bench.
I hadn't spoken to my girls in a while and with the twins being almost 20 weeks I decided it was time to start going outside more. So when D called us inviting us out to the park I didn't think twice about it.
We sat on a bench watching E run around and play with the other kids while Aniyah played with LJ as he stood in her lap talking her head off.
"What you say, fat man?" She cooed shaking her head close to his face.
"Back up, he likes jewelry."
Just as I was warning her, he reached and grabbed a hold of her septum piercing. Aniyah's whole face turned red as she screamed, scaring Legend who gave her a wide-eyed stare from D's lap. I cackled as I took my wild child from my friend's arms.
"That's why I don't want one of them crotch goblins now." Aniyah expressed as she held her finger to her nose, pulling it away to see if she was bleeding.
"You fine, girl." D waved her off with a laugh.
"Why you do that?" I giggled to LJ, laughing harder as he gave me a gummy filled cackle, kicking his thick legs.
"They're getting so big." D gushed inspecting Legend who was too busy playing with his fingers.
"I know." I pouted looking at my son who began getting fussy in my lap.
I reached for his half-full bottle that sat in the stroller, popping the cap and swiftly getting him into position so I could finish feeding him.
"You so corny for tryna match like that." D joked noting our outfits.
"Don't be a hater, D." I deadpanned. "We look good, ain't that right, son?"
I took my finger and flicked it between Legend's full lips, resulting in him giving me a throaty giggle making us all laugh.
"See. He agrees."
Me and the twins all wore gray short-sleeved rompers, mine plain from Fashionnova and the boys from Nike with a huge logo on the front. We wore matching gold jewelry and black and white dunks and I made sure they smelled good and were moisturized before coming outside.
"Anyways." Aniyah spoke sipping from her Starbucks cup. "How was Mother's Day ladies?"
"It was fun. Thank you for the flowers." I grinned rocking Junior a bit as he continued to feed.
"Of course boo."
"Mine was alright." D shrugged as she watched Elijah. "The flowers were nice though, cous."
"I tried, did you end up doing anything?"
"My mama took E for the day and paid for a trip to the spa for me. Then when I came home she had dinner cooked and put him to bed for me so that was nice."
"That's great!" I smiled placing a hand on her knee.
"Yea." She didn't sound too enthusiastic.
"What about you?" She looked to me. "What BD get you?"
