Lee's POV
"Lester! Drop it!" I scolded my son from the treadmill.
He had a bottle full of disinfectant spray that I used to clean after my workouts. Seeing him giggle sent me into overdrive. The older the twins got, the more curious they became.
Once I got the treadmill off incline and to a full stop, I was able to snatch the bottle from him and redirect him towards where his brother sat in front of the TV to play with some toys. He acted like he wanted to throw a fit, so I was quick to give him my look, which made him stop.
"Wow." Aniyah spoke, sounding astonished from her spot on the bike.
I wiped the treadmill down before sitting next to my boys and beginning to do my sit-ups. I was trying to get rid of this little gut, but she was stubborn. Luckily, Aniyah wanted to control her weight while pregnant so she could "bounce back faster," as she put it. We work out together often now.
"What?" I snickered.
"Seeing you in mommy mode shocks me every time still. In my mind, we're still teenagers, you know? So it's weird to see you as a wife and mother. Are we getting old?" She pouted before wiping her sweaty neck.
"Shut up!" I laughed wildly from the floor, which got Legend's attention.
He climbed onto my stomach, so I decided to use him to my advantage and began lifting him like a weight. He loved it, his giggles could be heard throughout the entire house.
"I shock myself sometimes too but it's almost natural. Your maternal instinct will come so quickly that you can't even register you're doing it at first."
"I'm so excited to be a mother." She smirked down at her belly, which was on display since she only wore a matching workout set.
"Have you been using that shea butter like I said? It will help with stretch marks."
"Yes, Mom!" She sighed dramatically before joining me and the twins on the floor.
We decided to finish off the workout with a light stretch while we gossiped. "Have you talked to your mom?"
"She calls, but I won't answer. I refuse to let anyone around me or my child if they don't respect or support me. Like, I love her, but she really hurt my feelings."
"Awwnn, Nee." I consoled her. "She'll come around. But if not, then oh well... you don't need her."
"I know I don't but still." She sniffed. "I could never imagine doing my little girl like that. Even if I didn't agree with her decisions."
"Well... we're just better than our mamas." I shrugged.
"Right." She giggled. "How's Serena doing by the way?"
I rolled my eyes. "She calls herself trying to coach me on my marriage."
"Damn, already?!" Aniyah cackled. "Coaching you on what?"
"How to get what you want without arguing. But I don't listen, I know how to handle Lester."
"Da da da da!" Legend stood and began to push his toy lawn mower towards us.
"Chill out, fatts! You're gonna hurt Nee Nee." Aniyah cradled her stomach and shielded it with her leg as she giggled at the toddler.
Legend only laughed as he continued to ram the toy into her foot. Mean as hell, just like his daddy. "Stop, boy!"
I put him in what I like to call love jail. Whenever the twins got too aggressive, I pulled them into my lap and drowned them in kisses until they got sick of me and pushed me away. As I sat indian style, I grabbed my son and wrapped my arms securely around his little body.
