Soon our food was served and we quickly dug in, the sound of crunching was obvious as a few seconds of silence past before the conversation picked up once more. Luke and Gabriel had continued to chat about different topics including me so that we could get to know each other a bit better. Gabriel told the story of how we met at the hospital where Dr. Green worked and I was surprised to find out that Luke was also good friends with Dr. Green. Luke then began to explain what he in turn did to Gabriel to cause him to be sent to the hospital for a check up. It seemed as though, Luke had actually been playing a joke on Nathan, another friend of theirs, when Gabriel suddenly appeared with North and things took a turn for the worst. I could tell that Luke hadn't intentionally meant to hurt Gabriel and Gabe also understood that.

Taking another bite of my chicken, I then learned that North was related to Luke by his father who didn't sound like a pleasant guy which was the reason why they had lived with their uncle when they were growing up. I then learned that Gabriel had lived with his stepmother Pam, however, when he mentioned it his voice quivered. I assumed it wasn't a happy childhood because of the hesitation and something had happened to his family. Letting the childhood conversation with Gabriel drop The focus was turned back to me. Biting my lip both of the boys began to ask about my childhood and although I felt more comfortable around them I didn't wish to share my past just yet.

Easily I found my chance to deflect when the waitress returned with our check. After much debate, we decided that Luke and Gabe would split the bill and I would tip the waitress. I was happy to even be able to pay for anything at all since originally both of the boys wanted to pay for everything in its entirety. But I had held my ground about wanting to pay for something, since it really wasn't fair leaving me with paying the tip.

Leaving a more than generous one on the counter of the booth, I carefully followed the boys out of the diner where Luke hailed a cab. I could feel the wind picking up and I shifted nervously.

"Sang?" Gabriel's hand wrapped around mine and instantly I was tucked into his chest.

"It's going to rain." I stated looking toward his voice and I could feel him shift a little but continued to keep a firm grip on me.

"It doesn't look like it." Gabriel stated confusion in his voice but I ignored it. I could feel the water building in the air and the breeze picking up. Being guided into the cab, I sat between Luke and Gabriel as they discussed what movie we were going to see. They gave me a view different options but the best, I thought, seemed to be the Max movie. It was supposedly about a dog who found a new owner after working with soldiers and his story.

Happily, I held their hands as we moved into the movie theater and once again Luke and Gabriel picked up the bill for the tickets but I managed to sneak in money to pay for the popcorn and candy they wanted. With a smile, I followed the two into the theater and sat between them as we waited for the movie to start.

As we talked more and more about different subjects, I was able to relax and feel more comfortable around both of them. Luke was very funny and with Gabriel I could tell the two got into a lot of trouble together. With a smile, I relaxed into my chair as the movie started and the two quieted down. A couple of hours later we were standing under the over hang of the theater listening to the pouring rain before us.
