Point of View: Sang
Pausing as I step out of the bedroom Luke had lead me into, the scent of musk and sweat washed over me and I froze. Someone else was here. Biting my lip, I looked toward where the scent was coming from there is the sound of someone clearing their throat and I freeze. The sound is deep and on the louder side and I take a step back nervously when suddenly the soft scent of Vanilla reappears. Luke!
"Hey North!" Luke states and I instantly relax. So that was who was in front of me? His voice was definitely lower than Luke's that was for sure. Letting out my held breath, I shift nervously behind Luke.
"Hey." He states and then suddenly I can feel the vibrations of his footsteps rushing forward toward me. My breath catches in my lungs as I freeze trying to determine what was happening when suddenly I feel a cloth placed in my hand by huge calloused hands. My body begins to shake as I feel the sharp sting of the cloth against my cut.
Suddenly the world freezes however, when North's loud booming voice suddenly is in my ear. "Fucking hell Luke! She is bleeding everywhere and you didn't even notice?!" I try to hold on but my body tells me otherwise and I am sent straight to the floor North's large hands wrapped around me.
"Sang!" Luke cries out and instantly I feel his thinner hands on my shoulders. My breathing is rushed and I curl into Luke's chest, my body is shaking hard as I begin to hyperventilate. Memories of my mother's yelling suddenly and the pain flashes back. I am back on the ground as she beats me over and over again.
Lurching forward, I can feel myself becoming sick, trembling I cover my mouth as I am suddenly lifted up and carried. "Sang..." Luke's voice is right in my ear as I am placed on a cold tile floor. "Go ahead let it out." He whispers and places one of my hands on the bottom of the toilet.
Instantly I throw myself over the toilet and let out everything in my stomach. I feel a large hand on my back and instantly I pull away the scars on my back burning. Shaking harder, my stomach continues to be unhappy with me until I have nothing left in my stomach and even then I dry heave. Tears slip down my cheeks as the shaking slowly goes away and I sit down on the bathroom floor.
"Little bird can I bring you to the couch?" Luke's voice is filled with worry and I can tell he is somewhere behind me. I manage a small nod and I feel a warm hand slip under my legs and another on my back as I am carefully lifted, carried down the hall, and into the living room where I am placed carefully on a couch.
Quickly, I curl up and a warm blanket is wrapped around me. I feel a dip in the couch and I assume Luke has sat down when I feel his hand touch my cheek. I flinch but he doesn't remove his hand from my cheek. "It's okay." Luke's voice is comforting and calming. "Its okay Sang. Dr. Green is on his way over to come take a look at you." He whispers and I nod a little.
"G-Gabe?" I whisper shaking and I sense someone shift in front of me and I quickly move away. My heart pounds in my chest and I press myself into the corner of the couch.
"North." Luke's voice is serious and there is a hint of anger in it as the figure moves away from my side. "Gabe is at work and he doesn't usually check his phone until he can have a break. I left him a message letting him know what happened." Luke's voice is much gentler when he speaks to me and I nod before shivering a little.
"Are you cold?" North's voice is barely a whisper. He sounds as though he was hurt himself. I can feel the guilt build in my chest.
"N-North..." I whisper softly continuing to shiver. "I am sorry." There is a long pause when I feel the air shifting about me and then another cover is wrapped around me.
"No problem baby girl." He whispers softly and I slowly relax into the comforts of the couch and the blankets trying to stop shaking.
After a couple of minutes of silence, Luke moves into the kitchen to make something for us to eat and North takes his place on the couch besides me. "Baby girl is your back okay?" Surprised, I look over toward North and let out a slow breath.
