Point of View: Sang
My chest hurts as Dr. Green's hands shift over my exposed skin and I force myself to take a breath. "Pookie?" His voice is comforting as his hands move from my exposed skin and I quickly sit up and push my legs over the side of the bed but my body is too weak. "Woah!" Dr. Green rushes to catch me as I collapse into his chest. It takes him a moment before he wraps his arms tightly around my sides bringing me in closer. "Oh Pookie. I have you. You are safe." He whispers very softly into my ear and I manage a small nod as his arms guide me back onto the edge of the bed. But to my relief he doesn't pull away and instead guides my hands back into the button down pajamas Victor had given me to wear last night.
I follow Dr. Green's movements not trusting my body. Once my shirt is back on, I lean forward resting my forehead against his shoulder and his hands gently wrap around me once more. Letting out shaken breaths, his hands slowly massage my back ignoring the thick scars running along it and he places a very soft kiss on my exposed neck making me shiver. "It's okay." He whispers his voice a bit deeper this time and his hands move from my back and suddenly I feel one against my forehead.
Letting out another slow breath, I hear the faint knock behind me and I slowly pull away. Dr. Green's hands don't move from my sides as I hear the click of the door opening and the soft scent of Irish Spring Soap float in. Instantly my heart is in my chest as I turn to look toward Mr. Blackbourne. I do my best to swallow but my body resists and Dr. Green's hands gently caress my cheek as Mr. Blackbourne's hand gently appears on my back which makes me flinch and pull away.
"Are you alright Sang?" His voice is quiet and soft as he speaks. I can hear the small amount of anger in the back of his voice but concern is the first priority. His voice comes from in front of me and I realize he is probably kneeling in front of me with Dr. Green. Letting out a very slow breath, I shake my head to indicate that I am not alright and I hear a slightly sharp breath. "Will you let me look you over?" He whispers very softly not pushing me at all and my heart stumbles in my chest. Dizzily I don't even realize that I nod because the next thing I know I feel a hand very gently shifting my shirt up my sides.
His hands are warmer than Dr. Green's making me shiver slightly at his very delicate touches caress my battered skin. I do my best to stay still as he shifts my sleeves up my arms next but I get dizzy and end up colliding with his chest. "Sang?" His voice has a slight edge to it as I rush to try and steady myself against his chest. His hands move to my hips and I tremble hard. "Sean something is wrong." He whispers and suddenly another hand is pressing against my cheek and I shiver.
"She has a fever. I haven't taken her temperature yet. Keep her steady. I am going to grab Kota's." There are a couple of moments of silence in which I know Dr. Green is still in the room. My head resting against Mr. Blackbourne's warmth, I take a slow breath trying to stay calm as I hear movement and footsteps moving away from the bed.
Letting out a very slow breath, the silence that hangs in the air is heavy. Slowly, I lean forward and place my forehead against Mr. Blackbourne's chest and whisper. "I am sorry about this morning." My voice comes out very quiet and timid even though I am trying to be honest with others.
"You had every right to." He whispers. "You were scared about what happened and we imposed upon your privacy with Victor. We did so however, with only positive thoughts and intentions. North saw something that worried him and we wanted to make sure you were okay." Nodding slightly I hear the loud sound of a door slamming into something causing me to flinch hard.
Instantly, Mr. Blackbourne has me wrapped up in his arms carrying me out of the room. "Sean?" He tries to keep his voice soft as he calls out in order to keep my comfortable but my worst fears are confirmed when no one responds back. Feeling Mr. Blackbourne's breathing quicken I hold tightly to his shoulders as we start to move around the house.
Hearing the click of Mr. Blackbourne's shoes against the tiled kitchen floor I turn trying to determine who is in the room. I catch the soft scent of spice mixed with musk along with ocean breeze before I get to dizzy. "Is everyone okay?" I whisper into Mr. Blackbourne's ear and he gives me a gentle squeeze as we move back into the living room where the sound of voices can be heard.
"That fucking bitch!" North's voice roars loudly and Mr. Blackbourne rushes to cover my ears from the volume. Shaking my head, I gently pull his hands away letting him know I was okay with the volume. Resting my head against Mr. Blackbourne's shoulder I turn a little to listen to the conversation nervous as for what is to come.
"North." Dr. Green warns his voice tight and I hear the sound of something closing in the far room but North's ragged voice is cutting through the sounds. Dizzy, I press my forehead against Mr. Blackbourne's neck and he quickly rubs my back before placing a soft kiss on my forehead trying to keep me calm. But North doesn't seem to notice me and continues to yell having none of Dr. Green's warnings as he continues.
"No! Are you fucking kidding? You want me to be calm? She could have killed us! She was seconds from ramming into Gabe and Luke's car! Hell! She could have hurt Sang Baby!" North roars and suddenly there is a pit forming in the center of my stomach and I grip tightly to Mr. Blackbourne's shirt.
Avery.
"She did." I state very softly causing Mr. Blackbourne to tense and draw me closer. Suddenly the room is silent and I realize that I was heard. Carefully, I feel myself being placed on a counter top and I slowly right myself favoring my injured side. The silence continues for a little while longer until I hear footsteps rushing around to my sides.
"Aggele Mou are you alright?" Silas whispers and I shrug a little unsure how to explain how I feel but before I am able to explain I feel someone's hand catch my chin and guide me to look up toward the sky. Instantly, I begin to tremble at the sudden dizzy movement but when I catch the smell of lavender I follow directions and open my mouth.
Feeling the cold metal against my tongue, I do my best to keep calm but the second it is out of my mouth, I crumple forward into the arms of Silas. "I have you." He whispers over and over again as he lifts me once more but my curiosity takes over.
"What did Avery do?"
