Point of view: Victor Morgan

Moving about in the kitchen, I wash some of the dishes the soft melody of piano music filling my ears. Opening a few cabinets, I can hear the faint noise of the television playing in the background as I move about my mind still focused on the girl just in the next room.

At first I couldn't figure out why she was moving about, she had looked so comfortable curled up on the couch with North, making a few of us a little jealous. But when she rounded the coffee table, her hand gliding against the cool surface of the glass my eyes widened as she approached my chair. All eyes were on her as she slowly took a seat on the arm of the chair and slowly touched my arm. I made sure to stay still as she ran her thin fingers against my skin and up my arm stopping when she felt the headphone wires.

Instantly, my eyes widened as I realized what she was looking for and I can't help but let out a breath of surprise. She had heard my music from across the room with conversations going on. I shot Mr. Blackbourne a glance before turning to watch as she slipped the ear bud into her ear. Sitting still I watched Sang listen to the music, a soft look on her face and I shifted a little curious to hear what she thought as the music came to an end.

"What do you think?" I whispered curious as to what she thought of my music and if she could determine that it was my music and not another composers.

I remember feeling my heart throb in my chest as I heard her response. "It was beautiful. You put a lot of emotion into this piece I can tell." She could hear the emotion I had put into the piece. The painful loss of the parents who I had wished would change over and over again but were no longer apart of my life. I glanced to the girl curled up on the arm of the chair and notice that she is reminiscing as well.

It is as if she noticed me studying her, for she turns to look toward me and continues to speak. "You have loved and been hurt." I remember my eyes widening in surprise as her soft face met my own for a moment before she played with her fingers in her lap. "I know how you feel. That is how I can tell." And suddenly it all made sense, in my mind at least, I glanced around the room and remember the obvious pain flash in Mr. Blackbourne's eyes but the others in the room silently confused.

What I did next I should have thought through a bit more but I had to make it clear to the other's what we were talking about. Turning quickly to Sang, I placed a hand on her small hands before stating, "You were abused?" The silence hung in the air for a moment before the pain that we all share shimmered in each of our eyes. We looked at the small girl sitting besides me in silence unsure what to say.

Letting out a held breath, I continue to put dishes away in the kitchen my mind focusing on Sang. She had gone through a similar abuse that we had gone through but some how it seemed as though she had gone through something even worse than we could imagine. That guarded look on her face when she told Mr. Blackbourne to mind his own business, she was hiding something.

Sighing, I place the last dish in the cabinet when my eyes catch movement in the hallway. Stepping into the doorway my eyes widen in shock as I spot Mr. Blackbourne entering into the room with the small bundle of Sang in his arms. But before I could ask what had happened those steal grey eyes were focused on myself. "Mr. Morgan can you get the first aid kit."

Nodding, I dash into the kitchen and rustle through the cabinets looking for the first aid kit as I listen to the conversation taking place outside of the room. I catch different pieces but not enough to determine what is going on. Grabbing the white box from the bottom cabinet, I move into the kitchen and carefully hand it to Luke who is sitting next to Mr. Blackbourne on the couch.

My eyes run over Sang's ridged body in Mr. Blackbourne's arms. I notice her body is trembling badly as I approach but my eyes focus on the ripples on the back of her shirt.  My mind flashes back to when she was speaking about scars and my eyes widen as I realize just how badly she must have been hurt. Glancing to North, I notice his eyes also focused on the raised scars from her back but he quickly looks away in order to contain his anger.

"Miss. Handson I need to take a look at your back. I won't touch it. I just want to take a look." My eyes meet the softer grey eyes of Mr. Blackbourne's as he watches Sang with such comforting eyes but it is quickly obvious that she is uncomfortable with that idea. I watch as Sang's small body tenses at the suggestion when suddenly I realize just how much pain she is in. Her body is tense and suddenly I see Mr. Blackbourne go white with worry.

His eyes meet mine and I quickly pull out my phone and hit the panic button under Dr. Green's name before stepping away from the group and moving into the hallway. Instantly my phone begins to ring and I place it to my ear my eyes focused on the small group in the living room.

"What's wrong Victor?!" Dr. Green's voice is rushed as he slams a door closed and I shift leaning against the wall.

"She is having pains in her back. It looks like she woke up with them. Mr. B asked her to take a look but she is refusing. She stopped breathing for a moment but Mr. B is guiding her through breaths right now." I quickly state, my eyes focusing on the small girl's figure that is trembling.

"I am on my way. Make sure not to touch her back. Gabe said that the scars were deep so it might be some sort of nerve damage but I can't be sure until I get there. Keep her comfortable Victor. Don't make her panic. I am on the way." There is shifting in the background and my eyes fall upon Mr. Blackbourne's again and he just shakes his head.

"Doc she won't let anyone touch." My mind races as I try to think of something and I quickly move forward. "I have an idea. Doc I am going to call you back." Hanging up the phone, I step forward to the group, putting the phone in my pocket.

"Hey Princess..." I keep my voice quiet as I watch the small girl forcing breaths out of her chest I stay close whispering to her. Luke waves me over and I take his seat to the left of her so that I am close. "You remember what we were talking about earlier?" The conversation we had just after she had been questioned about her abuse. Keeping my voice soft, I see a little movement and gently run my hands up and down her arms carefully allowing her to focus on the feeling of my hands. "Each of us have scars Princess. It's not a bad thing to have them. We just work through them. They make us stronger. You don't have to worry about us Princess. We aren't going to judge."

My hands slowly move to her shoulders rubbing them very gently. The tension in her shoulder's has me worried but I am careful not to touch her back even though I want to ease her pain. Taking a breath myself, I glance to Mr. Blackbourne whose eyes are focused on Sang's small figure in his arms. I can feel her shoulders moving slightly to indicate she was breathing evenly once more but I am sure Mr. Blackbourne is monitoring it just incase.

I pause for a moment, my hands rubbing her shoulder's a little when I realize the scars on her back are running horizontally besides one large scar down the center. Quickly, I shift placing my fingers gently in between the scars and rubbing in very small circles. "Sang... princess does this hurt?" My voice is soft and I can feel Sang shift a little against Mr. Blackbourne's chest.

"No..." She whispers softly and my eyes widen in surprise. Carefully, I continue to rub her back in very soft gentle circles avoiding the scars as much as I possibly can. Sang's back tenses a moment but then relaxes and I know I have broken through her wall.

I continue to do this for a couple of moments but to my surprise, Sang sits up turning to meet my eyes, her own hidden behind her sash but from her body language, they were slightly more relaxed than before. "Scars...." She whispers drawing my attention to her face once more. "Yes they are there but they make you who you are." Her voice is barely a whisper as she speaks but the tone of her voice is filled with emotions. A smile then appears on her lips and I can feel my heart stop at how beautiful it is. "That is what Gabriel had told me the first day I met him in the hospital." She whispers and I gently reach up pushing the hair out of her face.

"Princess you are beautiful." I whisper gently cupping her cheek knowing she is still in pain just sitting still. "Gabe is right. Scars are apart of you... apart of us. We have our fair share and none of them are beautiful but Princess your scars shouldn't define you." I am careful with my words as I study her body language.

"Victor I know that but I am not-" Her breathing falters and I move forward slipping a hand to her stomach. Mr. Blackbourne also moves his hands catching her sides.

"Breath with me Miss Handerson." Mr. Blackbourne whispers and I watch as she struggles through another breath before she curls up into his chest.

"I am not safe..." Her voice is very soft and my eyes widen in surprise. She wasn't safe? What did that have to do with anything? What did that have to do with those scars?
