Point of View: Luke
Opening the door to Sang's room with a pillow in hand, I feel my heart drop and my breathing falter a little as I see a completely untouched and empty bed. Rushing around upstairs, I quickly move into the other's rooms only to find that their rooms are empty. Knocking quietly on Kota's door, I open the door a little only to find a single male in bed.
Where was my cupcake?
Searching around a little bit more, I finally start to make my way down a couple of the stairs and find Sang curled up on the couch waiting for my brothers to come home. I can feel anger start to bubble in my stomach. She had barely touched the amazing dinner that Kota made for her. Basically stirred it around in a circle the entire time and then when we finally got her to head to sleep, I find her back downstairs only a half hour later.
Pulling out my phone, I take a seat on the stairs as I watch Sang sit on the couch playing with her fingers silently.
Luke: Someone fucked up.
I can barely control my anger. Who ever had left my cupcake like this was going to have a long talking to.
North: What's wrong? Is my baby girl okay?
Letting out a puff of anger, I quickly text back knowing that my little brother wasn't the cause of Sang's mood change since he hadn't been home all day.
Luke: Someone fucked up. Sang has barely eaten all day and I just found her downstairs on the couch waiting for you all to come home. She looks beyond exhausted. Hasn't even smiled... Someone must have said something because this isn't okay.
Pressing send, I move down the stairs and move toward my cupcake who stops playing with her fingers and looks toward me. Sitting down on the coffee table, I gently brush her hair away from her face. "Sang?" I gently caress her cheek only to find it damp with tears.
Rushing off the table and planting myself on my knees in front of the pretty bird, I realize that her sash is no longer on her face and I am met with puffy scars covering her eyes. "Sang can you tell me what's wrong?" I whisper softly my eyes studying her small figure. Something was definitely wrong.
"W-W-Worried." Every stutter hurts my chest and sends me into a panic. Rushing to touch Sang's neck, I feel her flinch a little at my sudden touch. My heart breaking, I realize she was panicking or she was just coming down from one. And that makes me panic.
Studying my beautiful bird, I very gently slip my hand into hers and give it a gentle squeeze allowing her to focus on me and my touch letting her know that I am here. "They are going to be home soon." I whisper gently bringing my hand up to caress her cheek. I can feel my heart melt as she relaxes ever so slightly into my touch. "I am going to call North. Do you want to talk to him?" I whisper ever so gently and instantly I get a small nod.
Taking a slow breath, I watch Sang carefully as I slowly pull my hand back from her face in order to pull out my phone. I keep my fingers locked with hers and press North's black button. Pressing speaker, I gently place my phone on her lap as I listen to the phone ringing.
"How is Sang?" North's voice appears on the other end of the speaker. He isn't using her nickname for her and I can hear the strain in his voice. He is worried. Glancing to Sang, I see some of her color return but before I can respond, I hear a choked sob come from Sang in what I hope is relief.
"N-N-N-North St-st-star?" She whispers ever so softly and I almost think that North won't hear her but everything goes silent on the other end of the phone.
The silent continues on for a moment or two before North's voice reappears. "Sangbaby?" His voice is deep and filled with concern and control. Silas can be heard whispering in Greek in the background but my eyes are focused more on the small girl sitting before me on the couch. "Baby girl can you hear me?" My little brother's voice changes and instantly I can feel the commanding tone appear. Glancing up to Sang, I bite my tongue not sure how she will respond to my little brother in protective mode but to my surprise she nods her head a little.
"She can North." I whisper knowing she is too exhausted to even respond.
"Sang, I want you to head upstairs to my room. Get changed into one of my shirts and some pj pant and climb into bed. Luke is going to stay with you. You wait there for us until we get home. We are headed home right now." North commands. Seeing Sang's head bob up and down, I let out a held breath.
Taking the phone, I end the speaker and bring the phone up to my ear. "North, I am bringing her up to your room." Ending the call, I slip my phone into my pocket and slip my arms around Sang. "Let's go baby girl." I whisper and she curls into my arms instantly.
A couple of minutes later, Sang is curled up in bed when I hear heavy footsteps coming up the steps. Stepping to the doorway, my eyes lock with North who is followed by Silas. Giving North a warning look, he nods instantly and steps into the bedroom.
Closing the door, Silas meets my eyes and quickly guides me down the hallway to my bedroom. Taking a slow breath, Silas ushers me to my bed as he closes the door and I rest my hands in my hair. "I panicked as soon as I realized she was panicking." I state.
