Point of View: Sang

Closing my eyes, I pull oxygen into my mouth and then into my tight chest. Everything seems to be painful. Every movement. Every touch. Every memory. I remember the pain I felt that day that he hurt me so badly. The day I honestly thought I would die. Tears slip down my cheeks, as the pain etched into my back burns deep. It hurts. Everything just seems to hurt.

Please make it stop.

Taking another slow breath, I bring my arms close to my chest standing very slowly. Two callused hands catch my hips in an intimate way as I waver, my feet no longer used to the weight of my body. Letting out a small breath, I crumple into the arms instantly the pain overwhelming my senses.

"Sang..." The soft voice rings in my ears as I feel the male's soft lips brush against my ears. A hand carefully scoops me up into the air and then holds me to a large warm chest.

"N-N-North?" I whisper my chest constricting as I try and speak causing me to stutter.

"No Miss Handerson its Mr. Blackbourne..." The voice sounds distorted and maybe that is because of the dizziness washing through my body.

Trembling, I do my best to relax once more into Mr. Blackbourne's chest as he moves gently slipping a hand to the back of my neck. I let out a soft wheeze of breath and he guides me now to the crook of his neck. "Miss Handerson I know how scared you are." He whispers his voice soft and comforting as he rocks his weight from one foot to the other. "But I want to make a promise to you. Sang there is no safer place in the world then with one of us." His voice is barely a whisper but I can feel the emotion rushing around my body in a protective hug.

Tears slip down my cheeks and I sniff breathing in the soft Irish spring soap scent which instantly comforts me. With a very small nod, I can feel the air shift behind me and I nervously flinch pulling my back away from the touch of others. "It's okay Princess." Victor's voice appears behind me making me feel a little disoriented. "It was only Luke. He was just getting up from the couch." Nodding, I curl back into Mr. Blackbourne's chest the pain slowly starting to go down.

"Miss Handerson..." The polite tone has returned to Mr. Blackbourne's voice as he carefully moves around the room rocking me slightly. "Would you mind telling us why you aren't safe? I understand if it is too personal but I honestly want to make sure your safe at all times. The others do as well but we need to know what we are up against..."

My memory flashes back to him. His comforting ways that always had a touch of anger to them. Gripping onto Mr. Blackbourne's shirt tightly, I struggle for breath. "Miss Handerson..." Mr. Blackbourne's hands find my sides and he gently pulls me closer knowing how nervous I am. "Calm your breathing. We can talk about it another time." I nod quickly and stay curled up into his chest.

Hearing a door open, I shift a little looking toward the footsteps when as a soft cool hand touches my cheek. "Dr. Green?" My voice is barely a whisper.

"Cutie you are flushed..." He whispers his tone of voice filled with worry as he gently caresses my cheek his normal scent masked with the scent of medicine and disinfectant. My mind wonders a little worried that I had pulled him from work. Taking a very slow breath, I nod a little knowing I was a little warm and his hands gently move to my side. "How is your back? Victor told me that it was bothering you." Tears form in my eyes and I shake my head indicating that I was still in pain.  "Okay little one come here."

I hesitate moving from Mr. Blackbourne's arms to Dr. Green's knowing he was going to take a look at my scars. But before I could object the feeling of soft lips are pressed to my forehead. My breathing slows as I calm down. Taking a breath of comfort, I curl up closer to Mr. Blackbourne's chest my cheeks flushing even more. "Sean... we have agreed that it would be better not to take a look at her back. She is very uncomfortable with them and it would do more damage than anything else."

There is a moment of silence before I hear a sigh from Dr. Green and his hand gently cups my cheek. "Okay no looking for now." He states agreeing with Mr. Blackbourne. "What is your pain level?" He asks and I smile relaxing at his comforting touch.

"Five." I whisper looking to the male. Mr. Blackbourne rocks me.

"It was worse earlier on in the afternoon. She got dizzy and had a hard time standing." Mr. Blackbourne adds on his hands comforting as they caress my cheeks.

"Sang...?" I shift a little in Mr. Blackbourne's arms and look toward North's voice. "Do you want a little something to eat?" I can't help but smile and nod.

"Yes please." I whisper and Mr. Blackbourne careful moves us into the kitchen and I am placed carefully onto the kitchen counter top. Carefully leaning forward, I keep my hands at the edge of the counter listening to the rustling in the kitchen. I am able to determine that Dr. Green is sitting behind me from the slight movement of the chairs and the sound of stool legs rubbing against the tiled floors. North's musky scent is in front of me, brushing slightly against my knees and I can feel his overprotective brother force wrapping around me in a protective blanket. Mr. Blackbourne stands off to my left instructing and I can't help but smile.

"What are you smiling about cupcake?" Luke asks and I feel his smooth hand caress my cheek and brush my hair away from my face.

"I can't help but feel how close you all are." I whisper looking to Luke's voice before looking toward each of the others. "I can feel that protective father nature from Mr. Blackbourne and North." I smile as I hear North shifting with the pans. I look back to Dr. Green and smile. "Dr. Green seems to be the over protective uncle/brother that keeps everyone on track." Hearing a snicker, I can't help but blush and look back to Luke and smile. "And you Luke seem to be he silly younger brother that always is getting into trouble and playing pranks."

"Hey!" Luke wines in a teasing mannor and I can't help but giggle harder as I hear laughter from both North, Dr. Green, and Mr. Blackblourne. I know I have hit it right on the nail and can't help but smile.

"What about you Sang?" The voice is from Victor and I can't help but smile sadly toward the male and wave him closer. His calloused hand slips into mine giving it a gentle squeeze.

"It has been a while since I have seen my blood family but the closest thing I have to family is Avery." I frown remembering her yelling and Victor's hand gently squeezes mine pulling me out of my painful memories. "But even then she really isn't family...." I frown slightly and suddenly I feel a finger poking my cheek and I can't help but smile.

"We will be your family Sang." Luke states easily and he places a very soft kiss on my forehead. "You don't have to be alone anymore."
