Point of View: Sang
Hanging up the phone, I hold it in my hand for a moment debating. Should I call Avery? I think of the way Avery had reacted to being around Victor and Mr. Blackbourne and I quickly decide against it. Setting the phone down on the coffee table in front of me, I slowly curl up in the comforts of the couch and rest as best I can. "Beautiful girl?" I pause for a moment unsure if the male was talking to me when I feel a hand touch my leg.
Looking toward the voice, I can feel my cheeks heat up as I realize Dr. Green had been talking to me. "Yes?" I respond quickly sitting up on the couch and fixing my posture.
"No no..." He whispers softly and gently guides me back to the couch to rest. "Could I take a look at your eyes?" The soft chatter in the kitchen halted and I could feel myself tense at the question. He wanted to look at my eyes?
"Why?" I ask voicing my thoughts as I slowly touched the sash covering my eyes. Why would any one want to see these ugly scars? Why did anyone care?
"I want to make sure that everything is okay." His voice is calm and comforting but I can feel myself getting nervous. Gripping hard onto my injured hand I feel the air shift and the scent of musk washed over me.
"Calm down baby girl." North's voice is soothing as he gently touches my back guiding me forward as he sits down. Uncomfortable I begin to shift so that I can look to both Dr. Green's voice and North when suddenly I feel North's large hands at my waist pulling me back into his chest. My hands find his legs as he settles me down and slowly, with North's insistence, I curl up in his lap and rest my back against his chest. "Baby, Doc really wants to make sure they are healed properly. It will be a quick look and Luke and I promise not to look."
Surprised, I glance up toward his voice and think over the proposal he has given me. Thinking the information through, I shift slightly and look toward the kitchen. "Luke will you stay in the kitchen for a little while?" I call out and North's hands slowly rub my shoulders.
"You got it cutie!" He calls but I can tell he is trying to keep his voice soft. "I have been ordered to make some salad with pizza." I can hear Luke grumble and I can't help but smile knowing North was the one to force the change in menu.
Turning slightly I look to North whose fingers stop massaging my shoulders. "I have a feeling you don't want to move from my side." I state shyly before I take a slow breath. I can feel North tense a little as he waits for me to continue. "So as a compromise can you rest your head on my shoulder."
A second later I feel the short stubble of his chin rubbing against my shoulder before I feel his forehead against my shoulder. I can't help but let out a gasp as I feel the slight layer of sweat touch my shoulder and then the overwhelming scent of grease and oil. Feeling North about to pull away, I quickly slip my hand into his hair and smile silently. "You work in an auto-body shop?" I whisper softly and I can feel the male's forehead scrunch as his eyebrows shift up in surprise.
"How..." North whispers and I slowly lean my nose into his hair and take a slow breath.
"Luke mentioned in the car that you were going to go and change the locks in my apartment." I paused for a moment to take a slow calming breath as I went through my thought process. "Since you got here so quickly and have mentioned nothing about a new key I assume you rushed here first since you were worried. Thus why I smelt sweat when you entered the apartment but the scent was to strong which means that you were doing active hands on work which is also supported by your calloused hands. But when you put your head on my forehead I could smell your hair and your air held the scent of oil and grease which could come from just about anywhere however, the fact that your clothes did not hold the same scent and instead your cologne that means that you had to wear a full body suite and keep your clothes in a locker of some sort. That would signify that you were working in an auto-body shop or something close to it."
There is complete silence until North shifts behind me softly, his forehead disappearing from my shoulder and I feel him place a soft kiss on my head. Blushing I shift a little to look toward him unsure why he had just kissed me. "Sorry I am just a little stunned." He admits and I can't help but be surprised myself now. "Your way of processing is amazing."
I can feel myself flush again and I bow my head a little shrugging. "Thanks." I whisper and slowly North places his forehead back on my shoulder. Taking a breath I look toward Dr. Green. "You can untie the sash. The tie is right under my hair."
Feeling, Dr. Green's fingers slip under my hair, he carefully unties the sash and places it carefully in my lap. I can feel North's hand slip into mine and squeeze as I let out a slow breath of air. Making sure I stay as still as possible, I can feel Dr. Green's arms running over my raised scars and I let out a shaken breath.
"They are a little swollen do they usually get this way when you cry?" Dr. Green asks and I nod a little not trusting my voice. North's hand squeezes mine a little tighter and I flinch feeling him move his forehead slightly from my shoulder. "North don't." Dr. Green warns and I tighten my grip North's hand. "She is doing just fine. She is shaken but she is doing a very good job." Dr. Green's fingers are gentle as he continues to touch my scars.
"Baby girl breath." North grunts and I quickly release the breath that I am holding. "Good girl." He whispers and I feel him relax as well.
A couple of minutes later, I feel the comforting feeling of my sash being tied around my head. Giving North's hand two gentle squeezes, the male slowly removes his head from my shoulder and a second later I am pulled back into his chest. Curling into the male's muscular chest, I tremble hard trying to contain my discomfort as his fingers run through my hair.
"Oh baby girl." He coos softly into my ear and places a few more kisses on my head. I stay curled into his arms for a while until, the door opens and I can smell the soft sent of apples.
"Gabe." I whisper into North's chest and he gently releases me and I rush to stand. "Gabe." I say louder and instantly I feel his slim arms wrap around me and pull me into a tight hug.
"Fucking hell." He whispers softly and hugs me for a moment before pulling back. "You are so much fucking trouble you know that?" Gabriel states teasingly and ruffles my hair. I can't help but smile as Gabriel wraps me up in a hug again.
"Foods up!" Luke calls from the kitchen and I smile as I am lead to a large wooden table to eat. I sit between Dr. Green and Gabriel as the food is served and I breath in the freshly baked scent of pizza. The food is served and there is soft chatter throughout the group and I listen politely as I manage a few large bites before feeling full.
"So what are we thinking tonight?" Gabriel states as I hear him take a sip of his drink.
"I was thinking me and Sang could sleep together while you chill in your room." Luke states smoothly and I can feel my face heating up.
"Fucking hell!" North cries out and I flinch a little. Dr. Green rubs my back and I assume shoots North a glare who quickly tones the volume down to a whisper. "Fucking hell no is baby sleeping with you. Idiot."
Luke laughs and Gabriel grunts in agreement. "I wouldn't mind if this tomato here stayed with me." Dr. Green teases as I feel his fingers pinch my cheeks slightly.
"No Sang will fucking stay here." Gabriel states without giving room for arguments. It is as if someone else is was talking. "North you need to go over and fix up her apartment a bit and change the locks. Bring Silas if you have to." Surprised I look over to Gabriel.
"Who is Silas?" I question quietly and a silence slips over the table once more.
