Don't Underestimate Me

After the dunk Kagami pulled, Kaijo had the ball as both of the point guards had a one-on-one.

You noticed Hayakawa move behind Kagami, 'They're trying to do a screen. I see...They want to get Ryo-kun moving.'

Before Kise could score, Kagami jumped to block the shot, "Nice, Kagami!" Kiyoshi praised the ace before throwing the ball for a fast break.

You noticed something different in Kise, "It's his foot..." Riko looked up at you since you were standing next to her, "His foot? Ah, now I see it."

"Ryo-kun had a leg injury that we guessed happened during the Inter-High of him going against Dai-kun. They're still trying to build their body, but their talents are too much for them still." You informed before giving a glance to Takeuchi, "I'm still surprised that he still let him play at this state."

Once again, the two aces were up against each other, not giving up. But Kagami was able to get past Kise and score.

"Member change, black!"

Kise looked in shock to see his coach, "Kise, you're out."

Those were the words he dreaded, "What? Why me? If you sub me out now—" but Kasamatsu cut him off, "Kise. Listen to the coach." He gave a stern glare.

Kiyoshi and the others heard the conversation, "A sub?"

Even Kuroko looked at his former teammate, "Kise."

Kagami had a feeling, 'I knew it. If I noticed, coach and (N/N) probably have as well.'

You gave a small sigh at the display, 'His foot. Of course...ever since the game against Fukuda Sogo, it's been bothering him.'

Kise was surprised to hear that Kasamatsu knew of his foot injury, "You knew...? But you let me play, though! I can play through the pain! I don't want to lose like—"

"Considering where we are, you've already lost."

The blonde was surprised to hear his captain say those words to him, "What?"

Kasamatsu still kept his stern gaze on him, "I know you overworked yourself because you were desperate to win. It was wrong of Haizaki to stop on your injured foot, but that's not an excuse. It's all part of the game. The game doesn't care."

Kise held his head down, "Damn it."

He eventually walked to the bench to let his substitution in.

Kiyoshi and the others looked at Kaijo, "This is our chance." The center stared making Hyuga agree, "Yeah." He turned to Kagami, "We'll focus our attacks around Kagami."

The said first-year gave a nod of understanding, "Okay."

Kuroko walked up to his teammate, "Kagami." But he didn't need to explain further to the taller player, "I know. I feel bad for him. That's why I'll play as hard as I can."

The Phantom man agreed, "Okay."

The game resumed right after, Kuroko passed to Kagami, "They're double-teaming Kagami!" Tsuchida announced making you slightly surprised.
