The team was practicing as usual. Momoi introduced the team to Kiss Ryota, a new player who started basketball just two weeks ago.

He was such a good starter that he made his way up the ranks and became a first-string player not too long ago.

Kuroko is currently mentoring him on how the strings work and how the club overall is structured to get him accustomed to everything.

While talking to the sixth man, you gave him a rundown of what's going on lately. Kise, who grew to be very fond of you, tried to ask you out but Aomine appeared and hit him in the back of the head with a basketball.

You stood there, covering your mouth while laughing at how comically he fell to the ground by the contact.

Murasakibara yawned, going to sneak off to practice to get some snacks. You with a sixth sense, noticed and started running after him.

He was dropped-kicked to the ground with you doing a wrestler move to keep him grounded. You ordered him to stay until it was nighttime or else he would be able to eat during break time for a week.

To say, he was frightened by the fact that you threatened to take away his snack privileges and started to practice harder than before.

Midorima was seen sighing at the group's antics before seeing Akashi walk up to him.

It was a practice match for Teiko and Kise was part of the starting lineup. During the game, he was being double-teamed due to how the opposing team noticed his skills.

He looked around to find an opening and spotted Kuroko without anyone marking him. He was shocked to see the ball fly towards him after he blinked once.

During the match, the two started to sync together as the coach and captain expected they would be.

After the match, Akashi and Midorima were seen walking in the corridor of the school in the late evening. The newly appointed captain noticed how the others accepted Kise and how Kuroko's new style had improved.

Midorima was taken aback by hearing Akashi speak about Haizaki. It shocked him to hear that he will be taking Kise as Haizaki's replacement and Nijimura being his sub if he ever continues basketball even if his father is ill.

"Haizaki's terrible behaviour is intolerable. Keeping him would only hurt the team."

"We no longer need him."

"I'll ask him to quit the team."

Seeing his angered expression made Midorima look in surprise, 'Normally Akashi is calm and mild-mannered. He's talented and popular.'

But sometimes he becomes a different, cold person.

'At least he seems like a different person to me,' the star shooter thought in his head as they continued to walk, 'But if that's the case, which is the true Akashi?'
