I woke up realizing Isaac wasn't in the bed with me. I took a shower and got ready. He still wasn't back so I went downstairs. I noticed food made on the table but no sign of Isaac. "Goodmorning Nova" Cilla said "Do you know where Isaac is?" I asked "Out in the barn helping Lupe" She said I looked at her confused "Izzy got out and was running like crazy and scared the rest of the horses" Lupe said "Is O'malley okay?" I asked "He's fine just a little shaken up" Lupe said "You named your horses after Magic from greys anatomy?" Isaac asked "You watched greys anatomy?" Cilla asked "We watched some so far" I said "Where are you at?" Lupe asked "season 9 episode 22" Isaac said "damn way behind" Cilla said "yea. Oh are you guys going to Hayley's thing?" I asked "she's my best friend I have to go" Cilla said "We need to have a family meeting afterwards" I said "is it bad?" Cilla asked "Are you pregnant?" Lupe added "No but it's serious and the Walter's are coming over to talk" I said "What happened?" Lupe asked "Are you okay?" Cilla added "I don't know yet we'll see how it goes. What time does moms flight get in?" I asked "about 8" Lupe replied "Okay that's a good time" I said "We gotta go but we'll see you later" Isaac said "Hey" Cilla stopped me "Whatever it is" Lupe said "We got your back" Cilla added They both hugged me "and you take care of her" Cilla said "Please" Lupe added "I will I promise" Isaac said We arrived at the Walter's house "Nova hey!" Alex said "Hey" I replied hugging him I had a bunch of bracelets on trying to cover my bruising "Whose riding with me?" I asked "Me" Alex said "me too" Lee added "we have to pick up my cousin" I said "okay" Alex and Lee both said
We arrived at the cafe and sat down "I'm so nervous" I said "You don't have to go up there" Lee said "Yea i'm sure Will would understand" Isaac said "No I promise i'd perform" I said "Good evening everybody. You all know I love to talk" Mato said "and talk and talk and talk and talk." Sky interrupted "Ladies and gentlemen my son the comedian. Um but since tonight is not about me i'm gonna make this brief and just say that this may be my cafe but uh this is will and Hayley's night. They're the ones who put this together so let's raise a glass to Will, Hayley and Lark after dark and welcome Nova and my son!" Mato said I got up on the stage with Skylar and grabbed the mic "Thank you all for coming tonight" I said before the music started playing
The whole time I was singing I stared at Isaac. I felt each word I sang. Once the song finished everyone cheered. I walked down and hugged Skylar "I didn't know you could sing like that" Skylar said "Vice versa" he replied "You did amazing mamas" Isaac said "She was stunning out there" Cilla said "Amazing" Lupe added "You were flawless" Isabella said all the boys came up to me and complimented me "Isaac she's in love with you" Lee said "And i'm in love with her" Isaac replied he grabbed my hands "I love you Nova" He kissed me "I love you too" I replied Everyone looked at us dumbfounded "What?" I asked "Since when have you?" Lee said "You said love!" Katherine said Everyone congratulated us
The night was ending and the moment I dreaded was approaching "Will is going home to watch the kids since they're asleep" Katherine said "We'll meet you at your house" George said I got in the car and we drove home. I walked inside the house and got the dining room ready for everyone to fit. I was shaking from nerves. My sisters were putting making sure all the animals were in the barn. I waited until the walter's were there. I paced back and forth until I heard the knock at the door. I looked up "I'll get it" Lee said "I'll go get tia and my mom" Isa said "I felt like i'm gonna throw up" I told Isaac Everyone piled up into the dining room. Some were at the table and some were along the wall on chairs "Why are we here?" Cole asked "What's going on?" Jackie said "There's something Nova needs to say" Katherine said Lee plugged up my phone to the tv in the dining room and opened my camera roll "Mom. I um" I started I started crying and felt like I couldn't breathe. Isaac grabbed both of my hands. I started playing with Isaac's rings "I haven't been honest with you" I said "What do you mean?" My mom asked "Carlos and me didn't break up only cause of the girl" I said "What's the other reason" She asked "He used to hit me. Not just small hits. He used to leave bruises on me and one time Isa had to take me to the hospital cause my wrist was fractured" I said "The day you said you hurt yourself playing sports?" Cilla said I nodded "I was the one who was the guardian that day. Why didn't you tell me?" She asked "I was ashamed. I really thought it would get better" I cried "Do you have proof?" My tia said "mom!" Isa yelled "Not for me. We're taking this to the cops" She said Lee started playing the videos off my phone and my everyone started crying "I'm gonna kill him" Cole said "Let's go" Lee said "I'm coming too" Alex said "I'll get the keys" Danny added "Guys" Isaac said "Why didn't you tell me" Cole asked "after you started going out with Erin you got distant. I felt like I was annoying you." I said "I would've been there. You're my little sister" Cole said "Baby i'm so sorry" My mom cried "That's not all.." I said "What else" My tia asked "He forced her to have sex with him" Isaac said looking down "Nova?" Lee asked "I told him no and he kept going and then I pushed him and he smacked me busting my lip" I replied "She has the video" Isaac said We watched the video but it ended after he smacked me "I'm calling my lawyer" My mom said "I'm so sorry that happened Nova" Jackie said "You didn't deserve that" Alex said "I wanted it to be over so bad but he won't leave me alone" I said "That day he pulled you. Did he hurt you?" Cole asked I pulled off my bracelets and showed them the bruise on my wrist. They were all crying. "I hated myself for letting it happen. I wanted to die just for it to be over" I sobbed Isaac held me crying on me. "We're gonna get you justice mija" My mom said The adults were in the living room and we were in the basement. We all went up "The storm is too bad to drive in maybe you guys could stay here" I offered "Yea we have 3 guest rooms" Mom said "I could text Will to bring the kids over in the morning" George said "Okay" Kat said "Lee and Alex share a room, Cole and Danny and Jackie.." George started "She could stay in my room with me" Isa said "I'm good with that" Jackie said Everyone headed to their rooms. Isaac sat me on the bed and grabbed a makeup wipe taking off all my makeup "Come on so we could brush your teeth and wash your face" He said
Everyone was now sleeping and I stayed up crying. Every memory was coming back in my head and I couldn't get it to stop. "baby you're shaking" Isaac said He sat down and held me in his arms as I cried "It's okay my love" He softly said brushing up and down my back. I didn't fall asleep till hours later
