I went into the dining room to bring the boys water. I looked at Nathan who was looking weird. I walked over to him "Nathan are you okay" I asked scared The boys were arguing and Nathan fell out of his chair and onto the ground "Nathan!" I screamed "Yo nathan! Guys Nathan!" lee yelled I started crying as he started seizing "Guys" I yelled "Nathan! Nathan! Nathan!" Isaac yelled The boys all came over to him "Get help" I cried "Mom!" Cole screamed "He's seizing" I cried out "Someone get mom and dad go!" Cole yelled He started foaming from his mouth "Put him on his side he'll choke" I looked at Cole "I-I" Cole stuttered "Isaac help me please" I cried Isaac helped me put him on his side "Nathan please be okay" I sobbed
I sat holding Isaac's and Lees hand at the emergency room. I haven't stopped shaking since the incident. I pictured my mom all over again... It was the month after dad and Emilio's death. Mom had been out all this time and she barely came home. Pricilla and Lupe were at a sleepover mom forced them to go to. It was late at night and I was hungry but there wasn't food in the fridge. I went to go into my moms room to ask her for money for food and when I opened the door I saw her on the floor. She had pills next to her and she was foaming from her mouth. "Mom!" I yelled rushing over to her I quickly called 911 and they told me to put her on her side. She wouldn't sit still and I watched her body go up and down "Please hurry" I cried by the time the paramedics got there my mom was unresponsive and they couldn't find a pulse "Charge to 100" The lady yelled "Clear!" She said as the wave hit my mom "Nothing! Charge to 150!" She yelled "Clear" she yelled again Soon her pulse came back and they rushed her into the ambulance and took her to the hospital
"Nova" Isaac asked I looked at him with tears streaming down my face "You haven't stopped shaking" He said "How did you know to turn him" Lee asked "My mom overdosed when dad and Emilio died and she had a seizure" I said "Nova.." Isaac started We heard the doors open and Jayden came running to me "Oh baby I came as soon as I heard!" He said as I ran to him He hugged me tightly as I fell to the floor crying. He went to the floor with me holding me with one hand on my back and the other on my head "It's okay love let it out" He said
We waited for the doctor to say anything " Hi dr.Walter" The doctor greeted "George" Mr.Walter said "How is he?" Katherine asked I held Jayden's hand tightly "I have some good news. Nathan is awake and talking which is positive" The doctor said I looked at Jayden and smiled softly "However he had some confusion post seizure which rules out pseudo seizure caused by low blood sugar or transient sodium" The doctor said "So what caused it?" I asked "what does all that mean" George asked "We'd like to keep him overnight. Just as a precautionary measure. That way we can do continuous EEG. I'll take you to see him" The doctor said "Okay thanks" Katherine replied We stayed in the waiting room and I noticed Isaac and Lee looking worried so I got up and walked over to them "He's gonna be okay. Nathan's strong" I said rubbing their shoulders
Katherine and George decided to spend the night at the hospital "I'll drive them home and stay the night with them" I said "Are you sure Nova?" Katherine asked "Yea. They're my best friends and I wanna be there for them" I replied "Thank you so much" She kissed my head The boys said their goodbyes and piled into the car. I looked at Jayden "I'm so sorry I dragged you away from everything. I haven't even asked if you made the team yet" I said "Don't worry about it. I'll never be upset that you needed me. I'm glad you texted and yea I did make it. They actually went to a party to celebrate but I came here" He said holding my hand "I'm so happy you made it. Now you'll have something to do while i'm doing the clothes for the play" I smiled "Yea. That way we'll be able to go back to your house after practice and your dress rehearsals" He replied "Yea. I'm gonna take them home and I know we were supposed to hang out today but I will definitely make it up to you this weekend" I said "Do what you need to beautiful. I will see you tomorrow" He smiled "I'll call you later?" I asked "I'll be waiting" He smiled before grabbing my cheek and leaning in I kissed him softly and hugged him before getting into the car and starting it "everyone buckled up?" I asked "Yea" Everyone replied
We reached the walter house and everyone got out. The kids were already in bed and so was Will "Are you guys hungry?" I asked They looked at me and nodded "We could order pizza" Cole said "No it's okay. I'll cook" I smiled "are you sure?" Lee asked "Yea can someone come with me to the market real quick?" I asked "I will" Isaac said quickly I didn't want him to but I know he was going through a lot right now so I agreed We went to the market to get the ingredients and came back "I'll start the food and it'll be ready in 30 minutes" I said "do you need any help?" Isaac asked "yea we could help" Lee said "Um can you peel the potatoes please loves" I said The boys got started on the potatoes and I started everything else
Soon the food was done and Lee set up the table. I plated everyone's dish and served it to the table. They looked at me "Holy shit Nova this looks good" Alex said "It was my dads favorite" I smiled "You didn't have to cook all this" Cole said "My parents always taught me food brings people together. Especially when they're feeling down. You went through a lot today and I want you to be able to relax and eat something good" I smiled "Thank you" Everyone said "I love you guys and i'm always gonna be here" I said I planted a smiled on my face but inside the memory of my mom was replaying. Soon everyone went to bed and I was in the bathroom. I fell to the floor and started crying, the door opened and Isaac came down and held me "You're thinking of your mom again aren't you?" He asked I nodded "Here let's get you to bed. You could sleep in my bed i'll sleep on the floor" He said We went into his room and he placed blankets on the floor and fixed the bed for me. I looked at him "Isaac can you please sleep with me?" I asked "are you sure?" He asked "I need you to hold me please" I cried without another word he came into the bed and held me. I leaned into him and started falling asleep. He thought I was asleep cause when he called out my name I pretended I was asleep. I didn't wanna talk because I didn't wanna forgive him yet. I needed to feel safe though "I'm so sorry I hurt you Nova but I promise one day ima get you back and until then i'll fight for you. I love you" He whispered before kissing my head
