Chapter 10: the prom

Kokichi pov:

I can't believe it. Today is the prom. How the hell can time fly so fast? And the thing is: the place where the prom is going to be is an one hour drive away! Why??

I sighed and stood up. I still wore my Pyjama even tho the prom is going to be in 4 hours. Yes I've slept till afternoon, because I stayed up for a bit longer than I wanted to. Anyyyway it doesn't matter. I started to brush my teeth and then I put my suit on. I looked at me in the mirror and thaught about what shuichi said to me. Do I really look handsome? I stared at myself for quite a while before shaking my head. I don't think so but okay. Maybe he did lie but..no. Shumai wouldn't do that. I sighed and then I brushed my hair a bit. I mean I won't style my hair differently. I like how it is soo. After one hour I was finished with preparing myself. I felt like a girl in that moment, cause I never needed this long for styling. Ugh..

I then looked at the mirror again, before going out of my bathroom. I then went outside of to the door and locked it. Since Shuichi is probably already waiting outside I think I need to rush. I was on my way. Nobody was in school expect the scholars that are 2 classes behind me. They didn't bother me. After a time I got outside and saw shuichi already waiting. Gosh this guy is always so organized, I hope I don't need to listen to a stupid lesson.

Shuichi: There you are! What did you do?

Kokichi: I, of course, had some people waiting for me that wanted to talk to me, but I rejected them so I won't be more late than I already was, haha.

Shuichi: riiight. Anyway. My parents are gonna pick us up any time soon.

Wait...wait his parents?! I never met his parents before! I wasn't ready for this! Not like I would prepare for it anyway but still!

Kokichi: your parents??

Shuichi: yeah? I don't have a motorcycle or car you know.

Kokichi: I..well that makes sense.

Shuichi: don't worry they are kind and also you can talk with them before we drive since we are quite early.

Kokichi: okay sure!

Shuichi smiled softly. I smiled back and looked at him a bit. He looked good. Really good. Not that he never does. Quite the opposite but well. It suits him.
After a time a car arrives. It was black. A young woman ( or not) came out of the car and so did a man. The woman smiled warmly and hugged shuichi tightly. She had long hair and looked a lot like Shuichi. it was his mother. His Father also looked a lot like Shuichi. Shuichi got his mothers hair and the eyes from his dad. He has Good genes. His mother looked like 26 or something. While his father looked like 28. I looked at them for quite a while but then they looked at me. I suddenly felt really stressed as they did so.

Shuichi: oh! Eh..that's Kokichi! Kokichi that's my Mom Kami and that's my dad Kiyoshi.

Kokichi: O-Oh hello! Hehe~ Nice to meet you both!~

Kami: Aww what a sweet boy! Aren't I right shuichi?

Shuichi: well..I don't know.

I looked a bit confused. Sweet boy? That's her first impression of me? I thought it would be ya know..gremlin or something but oh well.  Shuichis father or Kiyoshi smiled and nodded.
