Kanae walked around the halls, she was bored and aching to do something. She had gone to her sister, only to be chided like she was the younger one. So here she was, walking the halls like some freak, asking the servants if they needed help, yet none of them allowed her to. They all politely declined and walked away with tears of pity in their eyes. It made Kanae feel.... Awful. She loitered around the corridor, one scene playing on loop in her head

"It's ok, don't cry, I'm here" Sanemi spoke as Kanae sobbed into his chest. He rocked her back and forth like how an older brother would do and ran his fingers through her hair. She had awoken from a nightmare and was terrified. She whimpered into the cloth covering the male omega's chest and curled her fingers on it. She needed some leverage, something to ground her to reality, something to keep her from all those horrible memories. Sanemi's hand glided towards her shoulder and gently pulled her away.
"Look at me Kocho-san." his deep, rough voice cut through her hazy mind. Shaking, she looked up at him.
"Whatever that alpha did to you was not right, but that doesn't mean that you should let him ruin your entire life. Don't give him that pleasure. I'm always here, you can cry on me, but promise me that after you shed those tears you'll be stronger than before." He told her.
It was weird, how Sanemi knew exactly what she needed to hear, exactly what she felt. And the thought was horrifying that he may actually know how she did feel.
Kanae nodded and buried her head into his shoulder, letting small tears of relief fall from her eyes, she felt grounded as Sanemi held her. She started drifting off to sleep, but what she heard next, she couldn't fathom if it was her imagination or real.
Sanemi put her down before whispering ever so silently,
"I know what It's like."

Kanae felt uncomfortable thinking that the omega had gone through something similar, she reprimanded herself not to jump to such conclusions, but a small part of her seemed to believe that it was true.
As if by a slip of fate, she found herself walking down the very hall in which Sanemi's room was. She found herself poised next to his door, hand outstretched in a position and ready to knock. Tentatively she did so.
"Who is it?" a voice from inside called out, the same raspy one that had comforted her when no one else could.
"It's me, Kanae, may I come in?" She asked. The door unlatched from the inside and she slid it open. (Just so you know, all the doors are japanese styled ones)
She was met with Sanemi sitting on the floor, reading a book.......shirtless. She gasped and shut the door behind her and tried to go out but face-planted into the door instead. She rubbed her nose and huffed when she heard Sanemi chuckle behind her.
"It's not funny." She chided, and Sanemi laughed again.
"What's wrong did you see something?" Sanemi asked, she could hear the smirk in his voice.
"You...you...!" She stammered, trying to get rid of the blush of embarrassment streaking across her face.
"I?" Sanemi pressed, he sounded like he was teasing his younger sister, the thought making him feel homesick for a second, but Kanae's response cut off that train of thought.
