The crow squawked as it flew ahead, Giyuu looking up at the bird and grumbling. They were one day away from their destination, they were one day away from reaching Sanemi, so close, yet so far. Giyuu knew he had to hurry, he could feel Sanemi growing weaker with every passing day, he chose to give Sanemi strength by trying his best to connect with the omega through the mark, but it didn't work. He could feel his mate slowly slipping away. Grunting, he headed back to camp.
"We can't just show up at their door and go 'Hey! We want our Omega back please', It's not going to work!" Sabito exclaimed, staring at Genya.
"We've got the element of surprise, of course it will work! They haven't seen us, and they don't know we're coming. Let's use that to our advantage." Genya retorted. Giyuu stepped toward the fire and looked Genya in the eye.
"Do you really think they will be unaware that we're on their land? Do you really think that? These people are demons Genya, they're smarter than you think." Giyuu retorted, coming and standing alongside Sabito.
"They don't know who we are, we can use that to our advantage, but we do not go over there without a plan. The most fatal mistake we could ever make is underestimating our enemy. Let's put our heads together, and come up with a solid plan and with backups." Giyuu said and Sabito nodded. Genya understood the concern and nodded as well. They sat together, exchanging ideas, finding risks and flaws. They went to bed with a half-formed plan in mind, but Giyuu couldn't sleep. He hadn't been able to sleep properly ever since Sanemi was kidnapped, the cold side of his bed making him feel more mournfull than ever. He tossed and turned, trying to find a comfortable spot, but alas, nothing was as good as curling next to his mate.
Giyuu looked up at the ceiling of the tent and vowed he'd not lose Sanemi ever again, he would destroy everything in his path just to get to him and would never look back.
Tomorrow, hell would rage down upon those who dared to hurt his mate.

Sanemi wiped at his brow uselessly, the sweat there seemed to be permanent as his fever steadily rose, he was quite stunned that his blood hadn't evaporated by now with how high his body temperature was. He groaned as he turned himself over, crawling weakly toward the cave wall. He rattled his head to figure out what he was planning. A message, a warning to Giyuu. He had to warn Giyuu about the trap. He rose to his feet, gripping onto the cave wall, he had to warn Giyuu, he wasn't going to be the reason for his mate's demise.
Sanemi scribbled uselessly onto a piece of wood and tried to throw it out the window, surely his mate would find it? But the chances of that happening were close to none. He needed Giyuu to be safe, he needed his mate to know that it was a trap. Sanemi put all his effort into the mating bond between him and Giyuu, hoping that by some miracle he could connect to his mate. Sweat beaded his brow and his hands trembled, his head spun with nausea.
The door opened and Sanemi tried to figure out who the person was by trying to clear his hazy vision.
"Aww, is my poor omega feeling sick~?" Gyokko's voice waded into Sanemi's ears. Sanemi gagged at the sound, he wanted nothing to do with Gyokko, not at all.
"Just go away." Sanemi pleaded, his head pounding so hard that he collapsed on the cave wall. Two slimy hands laid him down.
"Oh Sanemi, feeling unwell? Well I can help you loosen up~" Gyokko spoke and Sanemi's eyes widened.
"Wh-What?"
"Oh my sweet darling. We've gotten word that your pathetic mate has come to our border. I think you deserve a reward for leading him here." Gyokko purred and Sanemi's eyes pricked with tears.
