Chp 27- Court

It's been weeks since Sanemi and Giyuu's marriage, but that didn't mean they could have a break. They were all hustling and bustling trying to introduce each other to different nobles of each tribe. They had to take a pilgrimage to the top of the mountain to greet the mountain gods' idols, and that had taken a week. The couple barely had any time to themselves, but whatever time they did have, they spent it together. Today, Sanemi had to meet the court of leaders that fell under Giyuu's rule.

"How much longer Giyuu?" Sanemi asked, he had barely slept a wink that night, for he had stayed up reading about demons and their blood demon art, trying to piece together if it was his father who sent that threat or one of these demons. He ran his hand through his messy hair and stepped closer to his mate. Ever since Giyuu had marked Sanemi, the omega had felt an extreme sense of security around the alpha, (Even though he felt secure around Giyuu earlier as well).

"Just a few more minutes Sanemi, after this meeting we can go back and you can sleep till sun-up." Giyuu said, a small smile playing on the corners of his mouth as he watched his mate huff with annoyance. They took a few turns before reaching a heavily fortified building. The guards saluted and let them pass. Inside the building there were various weapons and artefacts, but what caught Sanemi's attention were the five flags at the centre. They were all in a circle and a throne was at the base. The largest throne and flag was blue with a symbol of a wave-The crest of the aqua tribe. The remaining flags were white, cyan, pink and grey with a serpent, fog, human heart, and mountain as their symbols respectively. The people who were sitting on each throne rose and bowed down to Giyuu.

"I thank you for gathering here, court of Ryujin-God of the sea. We have a few matters to discuss, but first, I would like to introduce you to my mate- Sanemi Shinungawza." Giyuu spoke in an authoritative tone and gestured to Sanemi. The omega stepped forward and bowed to the council.

"It would be my honour working with everyone present here." He said and stood up. One by one, the council members greeted him. The first was a very enthusiastic woman. Her hair was pink, dyed green at the ends, and the dress she wore had her cleavage spilling out of it too much for anyone's liking. She also was quite.... Touchy. She gave Sanemi a bone crunching hug.

"I'm Mitsuri Kanroji, leader of the Amare tribe, I'm so happy to finally meet you. Apologies for not being there during your marriage, me and my mate had to go on a trade quest overseas." She explained, smiling at Sanemi. She dragged a man by his hand and pulled him to Sanemi. The man had mismatched eyes with a mask and a snake around his neck, he huffed and let himself be dragged by Mitsuri.

"This is my mate, Igiro Obani, he's the leader of the Vipera tribe." The man in question nodded at Sanemi as a sign of approval. A tall, burly man with marble necklaces came toward Sanemi.

"I am Gyomei Himejima, leader of the Terra tribe." The tall alpha spoke and Sanemi bowed in response, only to realise that the alpha was blind.

"It is a pleasure to meet you." Sanemi quickly covered, glancing at Giyuu, the alpha smiled at him in reassurance.

A boy about the age of fifteen came up to Sanemi with a dreamy look in his eyes, he seemed to snap out of his reverie long enough to introduce himself.

"I am Tokito Muichiro, leader of the Caligo tribe." He then looked at Sanemi quizzically.

"Who are you?" He asked and Sanemi introduced himself again. Giyuu had told him that the boy had amnesia, so it was no wonder the kid forgot. After everyone (Mitsuri) stopped doting over him, Giyuu started the meeting.

"Scouts have reported that there have been attacks on the outskirts of the tribe. Though whoever is organising these attacks doesn't take anything with them, it's as if they're trying to annoy us." Giyuu informed and Obani groaned.
