“Where is he?” Giyuu shouted as he slammed his hands down on the table. He grit his teeth as the stinging on his nape intensified. This had been going on for the past one and a half months. The pain in his mark as he felt the torture what Sanemi was going through. He could feel his mate’s distress. He let out a strangled breath as Sabito placed a hand on his shoulder. He hated this. He had raided nearly every tribe in search for Sanemi and he wasn't going to stop now. He wasn't ever going to stop, even if he felt that Sanemi was dead, he wouldn't stop until he saw the omega’s dead body with his own two eyes. He got up and stormed outside to get some fresh air.
Thunder struck above the trees. Lightning crashed and the gale blew. But Giyuu didn't budge. He let the rain soak through his clothes and let it chill him to the bone. The only warmth he would ever want was that of Sanemi’s. Giyuu had noticed how his entire life had lit up when Sanemi entered it, how all his rage and cold-heartedness had disappeared. The past two years of being with his mate had changed him, he was happy for a long time. And now that had been snatched away. But Giyuu wasn't going to let fate win this time. It had already taken his sister. He would not let it take his mate as well. He turned around and was going to head inside when he spotted a figure nearby.
Giyuu went towards the figure.
“Genya? What are you doing out here?” Giyuu asked. The younger alpha turned around, his eyes red and swollen, it was no doubt that the kid had been crying.
“You know onii-Chan had this weird thing. Whenever he would cry, like cry his heart out, the thunderstorm would strike. Like this one right here. Its been raining for the entire month, thunderstorms everywhere. Does that mean he’s crying now? Does it mean his given up?” Genya asked, his voice shaking with emotion.
“The Sanemi I know would never give up. And don't you ever think he will.” Giyuu said. He pulled Genya into a hug as the younger one sobbed.
“I failed him, I was there, I could have protected him, but I failed. I'm so sorry.” Genya blubbered. Giyuu had realized that Sanemi was the glue that held the entire family together, even Giyuu was held together. Without Sanemi, everything came crashing down.
“We will find him.” And that was a promise.

The next day was gloomy as the soldiers marched, different officers gave information, but none of them could find where Sanemi was. Masachika was tired of it, his best friend was missing for two months and he didn't know where he was. On top of it Giyuu was distressed and so was the entire tribe. Masachika was sick of it, he went outside to take a walk.
He recalled the days when he and Sanemi would train together, the raw power the omega had possessed, how the albino would take care of him when he was sick. The days when they would huddle against each other for warmth and the shared secrets and sorrows. Masachika bit back his tears as he recalled the memories of Sanemi.
He started to him a tune, a song that he and Sanemi had listened to and had taken a liking to.
“Tsuyongu Nararu, yu won shi ta….” The tears fell down as the alpha continued singing. At the end he whispered the part that Sanemi had made.
“Finally, you’ve given me a reason to be strong….” Masachika was about to continue when he heard his friend’s voice.
“And we'll stand, hand in hand till the end…” Masachika shot up. And looked around, he was positive he had heard Sanemi’s voice. Just as he was going to tell himself he was hallucinating, the voice rang out again.
“Finally, you’ve given me a reason to be strong…” Masachika whirled around and ran in the direction of the voice.
“SANEMI” He called, waiting for a response.
“Finally, you’ve given me a reason to be strong…”
The alpha followed the voice into a clearing and saw a crow singing. He was about to rip his hair out in rage when he saw a price of cloth around the bird’s ankle. The cloth that belonged to Sanemi’s robe.
Masachika held his hand out to the bird, only for it to be pecked. He gasped and pulled his hand back.
“Finally, you’ve given me a reason to be strong…” The bird chirped and looked at Masachika expectantly.
“And we'll stand hand in hand till the end.” Masachika finished. The crow nodded and Nuzzled the alpha.
“Message from Sanemi, message from Sanemi.” The crow chirped. Masachika nearly started.dancing in joy, Sanemi had found a way to contact them. He ran all the way back to aqua with the bird.

Giyuu nearly cried when he heard the bird say “message from Sanemi”. His mate was clever, proving that the bird was from him by adding a pass code. He removed the piece of cloth from the bird’s ankle and unraveled it. Inside was a map.
“He's being held across the ocean in the…. Kraken's groove.” Sabito said, instantly reading the map. Giyuu groaned.
“Of course it’s in Kraken's groove, the one place our battleships can't pass.” Giyuu seethed.
“When did he send this?” Sabito asked.
“The moon on the corner depicts that he sent it on the third night of the waning moon, which was two days ago.” Masachika said.
“That means four days travel.” Giyuu calculated.
“How will we get there?” Sabito asked.
“Simple, we deploy a rescue squad, the war will come later.” Giyuu said.

The next day every soldier in the unit was deployed. Every weapon was taken. The armory was nearly empty and it looked like aqua was going out for war. Giyuu donned the white cloak Sanemi had gifted him when he had first stepped foot in aqua. Giyuu would honor him by wearing it to battle. He could also used the thick pelt as a shield and could keep himself warm. He turned to his soldiers.
“Rise my army, we are going to retrieve our own. No one gets left behind. For AQUA!!” The crowd roared as they departed. Giyuu looked ahead. No one gets left behind. Sanemi will never get left behind.

Sanemi blearily opened his eyes, blinking through his haze of dehydration. He was being shaken. He looked up to see Gyokko and let out a weak whimper. He pulled away from the alpha’s touch, shrinking in on himself.
“Oh my poor omega, so tired. Get up, you don't want to keep your papa waiting now do you?” The demon sneered as he roughly grasped the omega and pulled him up to his feet and shoved him out the door. Sanemi shivered as the gale blew and chilled him to the bone. He wanted to cry as he was pushed down flights of stairs where nails embedded themselves into his skin. He was pushed into a hall and had to blink to clear his vision.
“My dear son, I knew you would be clever.” Sanemi didn't understand, his father never complimented him his head was pounding and he felt like throwing up again. His stomach ached and he felt like he would pass out.
“Sending a Kasugai crow, that was very clever of you.” Sanemi jolted awake. Had they found the crow? Had they shot down his chance of freedom? Kyogo looked down at him with a sickening smile.
“I knew we could count on you Sanemi, I raised you well.” The alpha said.
“I don't understand.” Sanemi mumbled.
“Of course you don't. I need to spell it out for your stupid brain.” Sanemi looked at him puzzled.
“My dear Sanemi, not everything is about you. You were never the target my son. I think you know who is.”
The gears in Sanemi’s head turned as pure fear gripped his heart.
“NO!” He cried and Kyogo smiled.
“Yes.” He confirmed.
Sanemi wailed, it couldn't be. He thought that he was the target, but he had just led the real target into the trap.
He had just led Giyuu into a trap. Bait and switch.
